I bought this product a while ago for the price it is great, after a while the microphones on the alexa would get to a point where you have to scream in order for it lo listen to you but that didn’t happen until a couple of years after I bought it it has great sound and volume and it is also compact so you can put it anywhere you like.

Love Alexa, I used it as an alarm, sometimes play my music, give me reminders, call me by my first name but needs to be set up, so easy coz Alexa will ask you and help you set it up, my son loves it and Alexa listens to him More than me coz when I speak I sometimes have an accent, overall love this piece. Price, I bought it for $25 only a good buy

So easy to use ! Sound quality for the small form factor is unbelievable!! Huge improvement over 2nd gen Echo Dot ! Elegant design and Alexa service works great with Spotify, Apple Music and iHeart Radio and many others ! I have four of these spread through my house and they can even play as synchronized rooms ! Price point is super competitive! One of my favorite purchases for sure !!

We actually have these little dots all over our house even in our bathrooms have you ever gone to the bathroom and we’ll we’re in a hurry and didn’t notice no to well just ask her to tell everywhere say I need to and someone in your home will most likely bring it to you taking a shower and like to listen to music well this little guy dose it for you we actually have all our dots and shows in a group so I can listen to music everywhere in my house all the speakers will play my music in every room with no lag from room to room who needs to install speakers everywhere in the walls and calling wend you have dots and shows and Alex speakers everywhere lol me and my family definitely enjoy especially when we need everyone to know something simple like dinner is done ask Alexa and she’ll tell everyone need to get everyone up at the same time no worries Alexa will set alarms for you want to hear what’s going on in the next room no worries you can if you need to absolutely love my dots definitely a must for a smart home turning on and off lights easy as long as you have one large show and the smart plugs or switches or lights the dots will turn them off and on need the dot to be discrete there are plug mounts for the dots so it’s out off the way definitely a great purchase and even better with multiple Devices

We are not a tech family so we are getting a lot of use out of this product. Its so easy to use. We have had no problems in using it. Super useful. To speak to a item handsfree is wonderful. We are busy. Speaks clearly. Easily understands commands. Small and simple. I find myself learning more since its so simple. I dont have to stop what im doing, just speak and im answered.

Bought this when it was on sale, the price was great and it has been an enjoyable speaker. It is small but offers good volume for a small to medium room.

This is honestly one of my favorite items I own. It's very useful/versatile, and also works as an amazing speaker. That being said, there are a few small fixes that I hope Amazon can improve with further generations. I'm listing pros and con's below, but I definitely recommend the product overall. Pros: -Great design (looks very nice on my nightstand) -Amazing speaker quality - I can easily use this for small parties and gatherings in my apartment and the sound quality is perfect -Love the features (especially alarm setting, reminders, music options) -Directly connected to a smart plug so I can turn on/off my nightstand light with my voice. This is a really great future especially before going to sleep Cons: -Sometimes the echo dot's light turns on, even if I haven't said anything. This can be a bit inconvenient when I'm trying to sleep and I see green lights flashing. Maybe this is just a glitch because it happens occasionally

I own several 2nd generation Dots and have been using them for a couple of years. All of them are connected to external speakers because the sound quality is not good for music. But this 3rd generation model is a big step up in sound quality, and on sale, it's a really good value. I bought one on sale and was so impressed with the sound, I bought a second one (also on sale) so I could set up what Amazon calls a "stereo pair". Using the Alexa app on your smartphone, you pair the two devices (they must be the exact same Echo model) so that they offer real left-right stereo. This works with the streaming music services which the device supports. It does not work with Audible books, but stereo isn't really important to me for audiobooks. The stereo sound is really good for two small speakers with a total cost of about $60 (on sale). It's not as good as two full-sized Echos, of course, but at more than half the price and such a small footprint, it's very impressive. You aren't going to get room-shaking bass or crystal clear highs, but you also won't get annoying distortions, even at louder volumes. The device is larger than the previous generation, but still small enough to go almost anywhere and be very unobtrusive. I think it's the best value in the Echo line.

I liked the Echo and subwoofer so much that I thought the Dot might come in handy for another room. Like it so much that I might get one for all of our main rooms. It was easy to set up and the sound is way better than I thought it would be for a device this size---a pleasant surprise. The price is reasonable and this is a good value.

The Echo Dot 3rd Generation is slightly larger and heavier than the 2nd generation model. This Echo has a slightly bigger speaker as well inside it. The result is a crisp and loud voice. One thing I don't like is Alexa copying all my contacts to Amazon Cloud or the Device memory without asking permission for it during the setup process.

I have 2 of these that I gave paired to create a little stereo system. The sound quality is impressive for such a small device. I've been hearing notes and words in some of my favorite songs that I've never heard before, even in headphones. I also love the notifications. It will alert me when my amazon orders ship and are delivered. Alexa has a ton of skills like controlling lights (with smart light bulbs) and tv. So useful when your hands are full or you're heading out the door and don't want to get back for the remote or to turn off the lights. I also have one in my daughter's room. I love the drop in feature that lets me turn her echo dot into an intercom where I can just start talking to her in her room. Great for waking her up in the morning or asking quick questions. The announcement feature is awesome. When I'm on my way home or I need something done before I get there i can have all the echoes in my house announce my message. Great for getting someone to come out and help me when I'm omw home with bags or something heavy. Awesome little device. I want one in each room of my house now!

Love these little things. I love the convenience of being able to say “Alexa turn on music” or even to make a grocery list. We have several scattered throughout our home and have it paired to our Ring system and it works amazing. Can’t beat this cool add on for this price to make your home a little more “smart”

We absolutely love our Alexa Echo Dot speaker! The sound quality is outstanding and the device fits in any space very compactly. It has an endless supply of music and information. The best thing about it is that it was on sale for 50% off the regular price which is a very good value for this item! It's easy to install which is a real plus!

I bought two Amazon Echo Dot (3rd Gen) for my two story house. The set up was so quick and easy! I had both up in about 20 minutes. Since then I've added smart bulbs all over the house, listen to music, and use the dot as an intercom, all controlled through Alexa. Makes life a lot easier (and Fun!!).

I received an Amazon Echo Dot (2nd Gen. ) for Christmas and immediately fell in love with Alexa. I especially like the daily trivia questions, it gets my brain working in the morning. Anyway, I started getting ideas as to how else I could use Alexa and decided to buy 2 more Echo Dot (3rd Gen. ) and since BestBuy had the 2 for $50 deal going and free shipping made it an easy. I have a total of three now in separate rooms I can use it as an intercom as well as wake up alarms for the kids. I add items to my shopping list when I think about it from anywhere in the house. I can turn lights on and off as I enter or exit a room. Set reminders as I remember them without having to find a pen and paper. I check weather, traffic and make announcements heard around the house, “Dinner’s ready” is a family favorite. It is so good knowing that if I have any problems or questions about how to use the Amazon Alexa Echo Dots I can ask someone at BestBuy too.

I own the Echo Dot 1st, 2nd, and now 3rd gen. I also own a Google mini. This is the best of them. I've seen the 4th gen version in store and let me tell you: the aesthetic is totally ruined. The cloth sides give it a more homey look whilst still taking up very little space. It is slightly larger than its predecessors and sounds much more clear. The google mini comes close in terms of size and sound but it lacks an aux port. Why pay more to get less? Funnily enough, if you look at AMzon's reviews for the 4th gen, they are terrible. Not only does it take up more space, but it also sounds worse. The smart home integration of Alexa is better than Google, even after all of these years. Google's mini answers questions slightly better, but you can create your own skill to have Alexa ask Google a question, so no loss there. The only problem is that my parents have a hard time pronouncing 'Ay leck sa'. They can say 'computer' or 'echo', but I wish we could have a custom phrase implemented instead.

Our main purpose for our Echo Dot is to listen to internet radio. We are very pleased with the sound quality and ease of use. We also enjoy the quick response when needing information. It’s a bit frustrating occasionally when Alexa can’t seem to understand what we are requesting and we need to repeat the radio station several times. That has been the only small negative. Alexa’s voice is very pleasant and courteous: it’s like having a new friend. We haven’t even begun to take advantage of the countless ways that Alexa can be of assistance.
