I LOVE HER!! The set up was so easy and Alexa is everything! She controls my tv, my lights, my music, I wish she could close the door and take out the trash I probably would marry her. At least attempt, the world is not ready for that yet. No problems and I travel with her even!!

Love my Amazon echo dot. Easy to set up. Small and out of the way. Great sound.

We bought three of these to enable us to listen to music throughout the house. These provide great sound without taking up much space, and are very easy to control by voice. My only complaint is that these can't be used unless they're plugged in (they don't have a battery mode).

Easy to connect. Sounds great. Loud for music. Love the echo dot. I can put it anywhere!

I bought this last month after seeing my daughter brought hers home and how much fun and utility this had. I am yet to explore all functionalities but couple of ways I use are as below: 1. Ask the time in night so I don’t have to look at clock. 2. Ask the weather when I get up, 3. Play Pandora music by hooking it to my account. 4. Automate lighting schedule of prayer room in my house.

We received a free unit when buying the Ring doorbell and I personally enjoyed the Echo Dot more than doorbell! The dot is extremely easy to hook up, the abilities of the unit surpassed my expectations, so much so we bought a second for the upstairs. Both units can play the same thing (simultaneously) in different locations! The sound system is excellent. The dot provides you with news, weather, music and much more! I love it and highly recommend it!

Overall excellent product. Set up process is easy. Speaker is smart enough to handle simple instructions but not too complicated ones. I guess this is not only about this product. The current mainstream smart home technology is not that advanced, so most of the smart speakers are still "dumb". Speaker sound quality is very good for the price. Wifi connectivity is generally stable, but it will work better with wifi routers which can handle more devices. Setting up a smart home means many devices will be connected by wifi, so if you already have several phones and computers at home, additional smart home devices may have connection issues.

I am knee-deep in the ecosystem of a rival brand (rhymes with "Dapple") but received this product because it was packaged with my video doorbell. I installed it in one of my bathrooms and I have so appreciated the look and sound of this device. It is very easy to ask Alexa to play music or weather forecasts. It is an affordable device for those interested in dabbling in voice recognition devices.

I absolutely love my Alexa Echo Dot. It really makes everything so easy to control at home and I love the fact that I can turn off and turn on my lights using my voice. I’m excited to see what other products I can buy that I can sync with this. It’s also pretty cool to be able to wake up and ask Alexa for the news and the weather. I’m able to use it to listen to my favorite music and it’s actually really crisp and clear. Best bang for your buck!

I have several of this smaller version speaker. They work very well. I have one I have set up for outdoors but leave indoors due to weather and just take out when I plan to use it. I also have several of the larger, taller version which I thick sound a little better but they are both great products. I enjoy the fact that you can have them all going at the same time and when you go from room to room there is music everywhere!!!

Use it in the kitchen and it is small and discreet, easy to set up and good for music and information.

The Echo Dot is the right size, sound and price to have located through out the house.

I love my Alexa. I have my light powered on and off by Alexa, and my guest loves her too. I no longer leave a light on when away from home because I can tell the Alexa power light on when returning, or I can turn my light on through my Alexa app on my cell phone. I also enjoy being able to tell Alexa to play my favorite selective songs. It's amazing! Great product.

Got it on sale for $20. it came with a smart bulb, but even without it is a great deal! impressive speaker for being a smart hub. alexa works very well with multiple brands!

The profile is very nice and the speaker is clearer, compared to the 2nd gen Echo Dot unit I had previously. Interface to program/set preferences is done through either the phone or through the interface that can be accessed via computer. A good way to try out Amazon Echo Dot if you're looking to convert your home into a smart home! I also like that I got this with my watch purchase, so free is always better.

Small, inexpensive and unobtrusive. Speaker is vastly improved over previous version

Easy to use, setup is fast, speaker is loud , nice design.

Easy setup. Works well with tv and lights. Sometimes I have to give the same command a few times to get what I want, but other than that I have no complaints.

Somewhat disappointed in the 3rd gen Echo Dot. The voice range intelligibility is muffled compared to the 2nd gen. This is the result of the internal speaker facing down with sound emitting thru the bottom edge of the unit. Consequently, you no longer need to wall mount the unit to help with the bass response. I should note that my primary use is not music. I will concede that this version has much better bass and more volume than the 2nd gen, but the highs are definitely muted. A larger internal speaker helps, but results in a larger case size. If you wish to wall or ceiling mount, you will need to buy a new mount.
