What can I say... Amazon has really done a good job with each new update in the dot line. I got this dot when I needed to replace a Gen 1 dot, and I loved the sound quality on it, especially for such a tiny device. Setup was super simple and I had it up and running in about 10min time. If you're looking to replace an older dot, or pick up your first dot, then this should be an easy purchase for you.

This is a great smart device. Loved how easy it was to setup and all the features and functions that it has. It comes in very handy at home, especially now that I have added a few smart plugs around the house to control lights and other devices. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a small compact speaker with very good sound quality for its price!

Well not sure how fair it is to compare to first gen that looked like a hockey puck but love it. Was easy to configure since I already had Alexa configured for previous gen. All apps tied right back in. Sound from this little guy is so much better than previous gen. Got this one free with my tv and have another in my garage. Even when being purchased I think the price is fair.

I like my Echo dot,because it wakes me up in the morning, I can play music anytime I want,I can tell it to remind about events through the day, so I don't miss anything important.My Echo dot is very dependable and accurate, I will always know what the weather is like outside before going. Love Amazon Alexa products. I have a few of the different Alexa products. In my honesty opinion the echo dot is the best one. It’s a great low budget price compared to some of the other models. It isn’t as loud as the large ones. But it still does have a great volume range. I prefer having the dots and it’s more affordable to put in multiple rooms and get more benefits of what this device has to offer.

This was my second Echo Dot as I had gotten one on special from Amazon. Love having it my bedroom to listen to music/sounds at night and control my smartbulb. Very nice on these cold Wisconsin nights to be snuggled up and voice control my lamp. Lots of other skills and features to use too. Set up was a breeze. Plug in and open the Alexa app to find new device. That's it.

I'm not good with technical devices, and actually resisted getting this as a gift, but when it came as a bonus with my tv, I set it up with great ease and LOVE IT!!!! Versitile to use with my Fire tV, orr just to plat my favorite music, find out about weather, sports scores, or even as an alarm cloce to whatever sound or song you like!!!! You will LOVE Alexa too!!!

Yes, I had a laid back Friday night with this. Just enough. Now if you trying to through a rave party then no think bigger haha. But if you like to get crunk with you and your significant other look no further. It’s just enough.

I was very impressed with the build quality and output sound of the speaker. This little speaker packs a good punch for its size and price. I now have owned them for over 2 years so I can vow for their quality. Having the Alexa functionality in your home is very convenient. I started with one and now I have 3 echos, a nest, 3 fire TV’s, and light switches all over my home controlled by Alexa. I can get in bed at night and turn off all the lights with just a voice command. Now that’s living in 2020. I gave it 4 stars and not five because of Alexa. Sometimes she just stops working for now reason.

I remember thinking I did not need an Alexa until I got my girlfriend a fire TV. Alexa came with the tv. Not only is Alexa a must get because you can ask it to switch channels, turn light on with smart light, or order specific items on Amazon. But it could be helpful for my grandparents who constantly lose remote

The same quality, I didn’t notice to much of an improvement compared with the second gen. But it is a great value. You get a decent speaker ( not like crazy loud for a large or big living room but good enough for a room or an office or even a small apartment. It is easy to use and easy to program different things like home automation or even use for other Amazon features like audible or Amazon music. Overall if you are able to snatch it for 20 dollars or less I think is a no brainer.

Easy set up, the echo dot works so well. I feel I am never alone :-)! It plays music when I take a shower, it tells me all I need to know, from NPR to different kinds of music, and best of all, it never complains! It does not feel insecure I have another dot, and it doesn't complain when I dont feel like talking to it. The echo dot knows it is all about ME! :-)

The Alexa is so awesome, I use it to turn on my tv in my room! By the time I get to my room my tv is already on, I play music on it, it wakes me up, it reminds me of things. Just so awesome! It also came with the tv I bought so I would definitely recommend

We have Alexas all over our house! I won’t say that the dot has the best sound but it’s also not bad. In a smaller space I think it would be great. We have our dot connected to a Bose SoundTouch and it makes listening to music so simple. For just regular use it’s not connected and still sounds decent. For the price it can’t be beat.

Got it for free with a tv in Black Friday . Never thought I would use it but it actually does serve a great purpose. I always ask it the weather every morning while I’m bed and don’t have to bother googling it on my phone and ask it to play music and set timers it’s really useful. I wouldn’t mind buying the newer one In the future it really does come in handy.

I love this little thing. Got it as a free gift for buying a new TV. I have the Echo Plus already and loved that, this one is super cute and perfect as an extra for the house.

This is my 4th Echo Dot. I use them mainly for cooking and kindle for when I'm working out. There super easy to setup and don't take up a lot of space. One of my favorite features are the voice commands. You can ask Alexa questions if you're unsure about things, she tells you jokes and you can even order FOOD. The Echo dot will be a great gadget for your house.

I currently have an Insignia Google home smart speaker which I love but this Echo Dot is fantastic!, It has better compatibility with a lot more smart devices than Google Home, the sound is nice and crisp for such a small device I paired this with my thermostat, Ring cameras and my Samsung Powerbot and everything works great just with a voice command I can get everything started.
