Perfect for what we need it for. Bought two for each sons room and great overall. We play nighttime music for bed time and also they have learned to ask for weather. Price is great and can control all at once.

This works great! Easy to setup and can be placed anywhere in a large room and still work and hear your voice. I use it for setting a timer while cooking and turning on lights in my house.

I love my echo dot. I have 5 and use them for an intercom system throughout the entire house. My surprised me because I didn't know it made phone calls. I play my music from Spotify daily. Easy to setup.

This product was purchased for my youngest daughter and works perfectly for her uses. Very easy to setup and configure. Does not take up alot of space which is perfect for her room.

This 3rd gen can ACTUALLY be used as a speaker. The first two generations were only good for voice IMO. But this one packs a bigger size and sound. Honestly its what the first generation should have been to begin with.

It is vey useful to have Alexa around. I connected her to my dining room light and I love it! I love asking it questions and getting a response immediately. I love it that it plays music on command.

Before we had this thing we just didn't really care about these fancy smart home devices thingies. Now we can't imagine our daily little tasks without Echo's help. She controls the house's temperature ( obviously, after we tell her to do so); she takes notes, setup timer, makes phone calls, search random stuff in the internet etc. The best part is: She is the only one in the house that listens to me. Cons: If you have more than one Alexa enabled device in the house, you will have to give them different names, and I think there are only four or five names that you use to call them. So let's say you have an Alexa enabled thermostat and and Amazon Echo dot nearby and they are both called Alexa. It happens that every time you call Alexa, both your thermostat and Echo will respond and operate at the same time.

I decided to purchase a 3rd Gen Echo Dot for my office. I enjoy using the Echo Dot as it doesn't take up much space and is informative when I need something, i.e. play music, turn off the lights, etc. The newer generation dot is great!

Love how I can connect to this little gadget when I’m not home, near home or even in the same state as home. Great intercom for the house. Integrated perfectly with my ring system and very informative. Can’t wait to get 2 more.

This echo dot has great sound for a small $18 speaker. I set these all around my house and they work like an intercom system. So convenient when calling the kids for dinner. Music sounds great too.

I love my Echo Dot! I ask her to play music, tell me jokes, set up my alarm, set up reminders, I ask for the weather, the time, etc. love it!

I like how it is easy to set up. You just follow the steps. Its has a pretty good speaker as well. Loud enough for us indoors. My kids and I dance around all the time! Fun to use. Bought and extra two for the parents!

Love my echo very convenient for lots of things . Wakes me up in the morning. I also use it to make calls to my children even program it to call 911 in case I can’t get to cellphone. Love listening to my music thru my dot

Sound quality is the best I've heard on a speaker of this size!!! Definitely worth paying a little extra for this one over the 2nd generation model. I'm not going to discuss the functionality as there's tons of info already out there.

I don't care of the NSA spies on me with it. I have nothing to hide. Comes in hand and has a ton of commands. Kids love playing music and telling jokes. I can't wait until Samuel L. Jackson voice replaces Alexa's voice.

Was not sure about getting an Echo Dot. Love it! Highly recommend. Able to ask the time and weather while getting ready. Love that I can play any kind of music.

SO MUCH FUN! Nice to be able to ask it things like the weather, definitions, news, etc. Loud speaker. And works great with Alexa app/Amazon music to control other devices connected to your account.

I Love this Alexa for the price and its decent sound. not the best but is worth it. I usually keep it in the garage hooked up to an aux to a better sounding system, it has access to tune in which is a free radio app and plays my local radio stations or if you get the free amazon music trial that's good too. I also have several inside the house and they sync together to play the same thing like a cheap way to get sorround sound in your house it sounds nice.

Alexa resists some queries, either shutting down, or saying, "I'd rather not answer that", or she does not know. She is good at reminders. You can make many repeat reminders of the same thing. She plays many different song requests with ads breaking in. She turns light on/off, dims/brightens lights, she says "you're welcome", or "you bet", or "anytime" when I say thank you. She tells me the time, date when I ask her. She tells me news, history, all kinds of information. Alexa also learns from the users. Sometimes I unplug my bedroom Echo Dot so she does not tell me an early reminder if I want to sleep longer. Plus I turn off my router and modem. Gotta have some solitude.
