Perfect for what we need it for. Bought two for each sons room and great overall. We play nighttime music for bed time and also they have learned to ask for weather. Price is great and can control all at once.

This is a step up from the original model in looks, feel and sound. It's not really used to listen to music regularly but works as needed and sounds better than the original. The newer spherical models are a further improvement in sound quality. I like the aux./analog 3.5mm output to connect to external amp/speakers or older audio equipment.

Alexa is awesome. There are so many things to do while using Alexa. I love playing music as easily saying the name of the song and she will play it. I can also set an alarm. I can call someone. I really recommend it!

This is my second one. SOOO much better then "GOOGLE". I don't have to say HEY! ALEXA, just Alexa. 50% of my lights, Alexa is in charge of, so far.

Alexa resists some queries, either shutting down, or saying, "I'd rather not answer that", or she does not know. She is good at reminders. You can make many repeat reminders of the same thing. She plays many different song requests with ads breaking in. She turns light on/off, dims/brightens lights, she says "you're welcome", or "you bet", or "anytime" when I say thank you. She tells me the time, date when I ask her. She tells me news, history, all kinds of information. Alexa also learns from the users. Sometimes I unplug my bedroom Echo Dot so she does not tell me an early reminder if I want to sleep longer. Plus I turn off my router and modem. Gotta have some solitude.

This echo dot has great sound for a small $18 speaker. I set these all around my house and they work like an intercom system. So convenient when calling the kids for dinner. Music sounds great too.

There might not be a ton you'd use this for if you don't have a lot of other things around your home that would be considered "smart" devices. But if you do, this is great for simple tasks such as turning your light on or off. The best part is Alexa, which has come a long way since its introduction a while back. It's my personal favorite of the big 3 assistants you could use.

The Amazon Echo Dot is the easiest way to add voice integration to your smart home and the 3rd generation Echo Dot does not disappoint. Attractive design and a better sounding speaker makes this a great addition to the Echo line up.

Liked my Echo. I didn't know how to use this at first but my young daughter helped me set it up. I like that I can play music on it. It has many features but that is what I mostly use it for.

SO MUCH FUN! Nice to be able to ask it things like the weather, definitions, news, etc. Loud speaker. And works great with Alexa app/Amazon music to control other devices connected to your account.

Awesome! I can now get the weather without looking at my phone, turn my tv on/off by just asking Alexa and play my music

Love Alexa and this echo dot provides good sound and it doesn’t take much space. Also, it is cheap so you can add one in each room of your house.

This 3rd gen can ACTUALLY be used as a speaker. The first two generations were only good for voice IMO. But this one packs a bigger size and sound. Honestly its what the first generation should have been to begin with.

Great Alexa product. Sound is good for a little device. Small enough to take on the go with you if needed. Love it!

For a small Echo device this one sounds pretty good and is small enough to hide behind something.

I Can’t complaint it’s great for affordable price. It is small and can be placed anywhere. Love how it can connect to a lot. Thinking of buying some for Christmas.

I loved my "Little Dot" so much, I bought one for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I cannot tell you how much i appreciate the Shopping List feature. I use it several times a day. "Alexa, Add Milk to the Shopping List, Add Butter and Bread, Add Toilet Paper to Sam's list" We have a small 1 bedroom house w/ Basement, but I can yell from anywhere in the house for her to add things to my list, and she is always able to hear me. And, I dont have to worry about "forgetting my list at home or in the car" because the list is always on my phone in my Alexa app. She has made my everyday life much easier, and I am so thankful for her. I know its weird that I talk about her like shes a person, but it feels like she is sometimes, when you're alone and you ask her, "Alexa, How are you today?" And she answers you. And playing 20 questions with her is fun too. Okay, I'll stop bragging about her now.

Initially got the echo for Christmas and didn’t think it was a need, until we hooked it up to a hard to reach lamp. Since then we’ve bought the Echo Dot for our bedroom, as well as several Smart plugs and Smart bulbs for around the house. Having our lamps and even our Christmas tree activated by voice command is such a game changer. Life is so much easier now, especially with our hands full holding baby. We can dim the light with our Smart bulb for night feedings and even change the light to all sorts of colors just for fun. We can play music from Pandora over the Echo, play all sorts of games and even ambient sounds for baby when she sleeps. No need for any other sound machine or gadgets. We don’t know how we ever lived without it. The hubs and I definitely recommend this product. Even bought a couple as gifts.

These are super compact and sound way better than the 1st gen ones I had before. It sounds better than some of the older dedicated speakers I had. Very compact and easy to put and hide around the house too
