We wanted music outdoors on our patio in our new 'smart' home and we were able to set this up adding to our existing system in less than 2 minutes. The sound is AMAZING and Alexa takes great directions and you can verbally ask her to turn up/down the sound which is helpful when you are away at a dinner table outside. We couldn't be more pleased. Weather-wise, this unit is under an attached patio cover to our home and when it gets rainy, we'll take it inside if need be. Just EASY AND EXCELLENT!

The sound on this device is really good compared to the new Dots. Easy to set up and connect.

Works great to play any type of music. Links to Ring doorbell. Also, conveniently provides weather and commute times to work when asked.

This is our 5th purchase of this same item (giving this one to family) has all the features you could want from playing your radio stations (kat country) to blue tooth music from your device, or using hundreds (probably thousands) of 'skills' which can be enabled. Standard skills such as weather come already enabled, and many more are free to enable via the app. Would definitely recommend this to anyone. I haven't used the other versions of Echo Dot as this cheaper option does everything I could want it to.

Perfect gift for my grandmother! With her being elderly and staying home alone, it gave us peace of mind to know that she can call us from Alexa if anything happens (such as a fall), and she isn't near her phone. She enjoys the music and being able to ask about news and weather!

I already have a couple of echo’s but needed one for my study to control my sonos’s. This one fits the bill. Looks nice. Good sound. Inconspicous

This product is nice for is size. Definitely would spend the extra money for the echo show! Sound quality is way better. But got this as a promotion with a tv so I just put it in the bedroom.

I enjoy this echo. I use it in my office and it has great sound and ease of use.

I have the 2nd gen echo dot and getting the 3rd gen was a better buy in three ways. First, would be that the new echo dot actually has decent speakers to listen to everything else but news or alexa only. Second is that it listens better for your voice with the four microphones that it has compared to the previous generation that only has one microphone. Third, the Bluetooth connection is way better! It allows me to have more distance between my device and the new echo dot. The sounds through Bluetooth with the new echo dot is also much better.

The Echo Dot was on sale which made my buying experience even better. This little device has quite a bit of sound power and was easy to set up.

I love using my echo! My teenage son sometimes takes forever to answer the phone or won’t hear it bc his phones on vibrate so I drop in from my phone to my echo and let him know I’m calling! It has a lot of other uses for it too! I have a few other ones and some I use for music when I cook and I’m going to be in the kitchen for awhile. I also love that it sends me notifications when my Amazon packages will be delivered. Alexa is my girl and this device Keeps me in touch!
