Echo dots are great gifts and great little devices. I have tried the 3rd and the 4th Gen dots. These are still a good deal (especially on sale or as a bonus gift for a Best Buy or AMZ purchase. The kids love asking "Alexa" random questions, and sometimes her responses are entertaining for adults. I more appreciate using these as little music devices in random places in the house.

So I got a total of four Dots. One is in the Living Room, master bed, daughters room and gave one to a relative. They do work well and you have to be careful not to say Alexa or she'll respond. lol They do disconnect from the wifi and we had to add them back on. I do believe its our wifi that's the issue, not the Dot. The alarm is louder than my cell alarm so it wakes me. I can set it to an alarm, but I choose to wake up to a favorite song. She can also tell you reminders. So far so good.

Works great and super easy to set up. I have 2 Echo show 5s and needed something for my office.

Good speaker on the new model. The old one sucks. Very easy to use my 4 year old ask it a thousand questions.

Great addition completed my multi room functionality. Sounds great, easy set up. Can't go wrong having them in every room!

I am a big fan of Alexa. This new echo dot upgrade is awesome. It's a much cleaner look, and the sound quality is awesome.

Works like any other echo dot device, sound quality great. It's easy to setup and wifi connection is strong.

For a long time I didn't want to use any of these devices in my home. However, I decided to go ahead when they were on sale. Now that I have it, I really do like it. It is so much easier to find out the weather by asking Alexa than it is to go to the weather app on my phone. It is really much easier to find out answers to many other questions and when I want to hear a specific song or many it is absolutely perfect.

I like it! It has a better sound than the Gen 2 for music. It will also turn on and off items.

I enjoy having this device in my home. I am able to set alarms to it play my music and also set reminders for my workday.

This pod got included with another purchase for free, I’ve got a braket that it helps hiding the cord and it hangs the pod on the wall attached to the outlet (which should be an item offer by manufacturer) it helps on managing the pod. Sound is good but I believe it should have been also designed to give more flexibility to equalize sound and voice since the pitch on it is very low, sometimes I can’t hear clearly when I ask for the weather report.

I bought an Echo Show 8 (Sandstone) for my Mom for Xmas, then bought an Echo Dot gen 3 (Charcoal) and now am Echo Show 8 (Charcoal) for myself! This device is amazing, especially if you're really into listening to music! Alexa is something special and her AI is pretty advanced. The sound is very clear and I highly recommend to all ages. You won't regret it!!!

The product is very easy to use and really useful. It's very smart and I think has a really good price for what you get.

Im not going to lie here, I bought this, and I barely use it. I use it as a glorified speaker for Spotify. The sound quality is good but there's very little bass. Alex understands me most of the time, but with every smart device it has its moments where it doesn't understand properly. I do take advantage of the skills when I remember though, those tend to be useful. The price I got it at was great, the normal price isn't worth it though. I don't think I would recommend this until its on sale again and even then there might be something better to spend your money on.
