I am a fact and information "based" person. Then afterwards, I like my musical distractions. This Dot with Alexa was perfect! Giving me news, weather, Pandora music, Amazon Prime music, live TV news broadcasts, recite my upcoming calendar, resolve a quick math problem ... I could go on and on! The speaker quality is excellent. I don't believe that I didn't own one before having first interaction only 45-days ago. Everyone can find value/purpose in owning one!

Much better sound quality and volume than 2nd gen. Great device for controlling home automation or playing music.

If you don't have one of these go get one! I had no idea that Alexa could do so many things! I'm gonna take her with me to pick winning lotto numbers and a trip to Vegas too. I'm predicting that within the next couple of years, she will be able to do your laundry, wash your car and cook dinner too! Now if they can find a decent mascot or "AI" body to put her in, she could be like TED with full body movement capabilities. Until then we just wait in anticipation.

Great little unit. Makes it easy to listen to music anytime. Good for a few jokes too.

I use the Alexa feature to turn on lights and adjust temperature when I’m away. It’s great to turn on music as well.

A lot of fun and works great. Use it to check the time in middle of night set alarms play trivia before bed. Love it

This is our first smart speaker, and overall I'd say it works well. It's not too complicated and is a great speaker.

EXCELLANT ECHO DOT IT HAS A VERY GOOD SOUND QUALITY AND PRETTY LOUD FOR A SMALL LITTLE SPEAKER

The echo mini isn't a bad device. Alexa sometimes doesn't like to respond but as far as the device itself it works. Ita small and discreet. Volume is loud and can be heard clearly. Bought another and gave one as a gift.

I didn't know how easy it would be to set up this device. I was wondering what it would do. I bought a light bulb and now - I don't have to get out of bed to turn the light off. Sometimes, I do believe Alexa is hard of hearing me. Still - I am enjoying talking with Alexa

Easy to connect, easy to use, great product that answers to every voice command. My 4 year old uses it.

I have 5 of these now. We use them to control the TV, lights, switches, vacuum robots, an intercom, an announcer, an alarm clock and even so the kids can make outgoing phone calls to use without needing a phone. Yes, we need one in every room. I like these so much I added one to my office so I can be reached there conveniently. I bought in at under $20. When these go on sale again, I'm getting more.

The speaker sounds a lot better, the design is much better. Overall better choice then the previous editions by far.

I love my Echo Dot! I brought one and turned around and brought two more to add more to the sound in the house. I love when have so much in my hands and I arrive home to just ask Alexa to turn the lights on, it is an amazing feeling! I must be honest I wish the sound was louder but I guess I could have brought a different one if that was a requirement when I was looking.

this is an add-on to the other echos ...works great, looks more robust and better speaker in this gen.

Use everyday. Use all the time. Small enough to “hide” behind picture frame. I use all around. Love it.
