I fell in LOVE with it and started finding great deals on the Echo Dots so I could afford to scatter them throughout the house. Once you really dig into all of the things Alexa is capable of you won’t stop trying new stuff. The dots are awesome Add-ons to the Main Echo Plus 2nd Gen, just really neat gadgets to have. I guess one would be alright to have as a solo but if you can spring for the Echo Plus with the built in hub , I would definitely suggest it.

Excellent sound and very easy to use. It is resourceful for different use.

It is great and plays very clear music. Love that it had bass and good very loud for a little speaker.

This is my first Echo and I'm surprised how well the voice recognition works. The only negative I can see is that this version does not have a battery so it always has to be plugged in, but it's also the cheapest version too.

I use the Echo Dot basically for listening to music and a few basic things, alarms, weather, etc. The only issue I’ve had is when I try to connect to my Sirius/XM, it immediately drops the boardcast after a few minutes. I also have Siri, and have no problem with it using my Sirius/XM. Want to learn how to control the lights. Not as easy as they say.

Just bought a new home in South Carolina. Purchased two of these to cover the new house. Setup was easy as I already have an Alexa setup at my phone in NY. The best part, using the “Alexa - Drop-In” feature, I can drop in and talk to my wife and dogs In NY, without picking up the phone.

Purchased 2 Echo dots due the great price Best Buy had for one. Works great with all my smarthome devices.

Works as it should. Has good volume for its size. Discrete size.

I loved my echo. It the price was so reasonable and we use it everyday. I make store lis ton my echo, recipes , dance in my kitchen with my kids. It is the most helpful speaker you will find. I also check the weather everyday before leaving my home.

This was easy to set up and love the sound. It's perfect for a small room. I will be buying more for other rooms.

It's surprising that it took the $49.99 Echo Dot smart speaker this long to start looking like, well, a dot. The fourth-generation Echo Dot is now a sphere, to mirror the look of the new fourth-gen Echo, albeit in a smaller size for half the price. Not much else has changed here, but the new Echo Dot remains one of the best ways to add Amazon's Alexa voice assistant to every room of your home. That said, we think the LED clock face on the Echo Dot With Clock is worth the extra $10 if you plan on putting the speaker on your desk, nightstand, or anywhere else you use clocks and timers.

I own 3 Alexas. I have them everywhere at home. I love to tell them what to do lol.

I use it mostly as a speaker and it has great sound it’s worth the price.Its loud easy to use I would recommend it

This echo dot is small but the sound is really good and fits anywhere

I was not sure about having this type of device but have found it useful and fun at times. If you are worried about it just unplug it when you are not using it. The Phone app is well Organized and easy to change settings . You do need it to get it online for set up. After that just ask it answers. It does have an option to turn off listening so it will not respond to anything . For a small speaker the music sound quality is very good

It started as me buying myself a gift of the Fire Stick with my income tax refund. However, the sales associate recommended the Echo Dot third generation as well. I figured, why not? This is by far the best electronic purchase I’ve made in the past 20 years! Amazon outdid themselves with this one, and I’m just happy Best Buy sells these products! Thank you Best Buy!

Works great with my stereo and other products, Spotify Amazon. Out of the box can be a little confusing connecting to Internet and then phone app. But once its passed that setup, everything starts to work great. Total setup time for basic user is probable 30-1 hour. Someone techy could probably do this in 15-30 min. YouTube maybe a good resource to find out how to setup as well. Will need a pigtail to connect to stereo to play though speakers.

Instructions to set-up are straight-forward and it's easy to manage with your personal device.
