Excellent item! Very impressive and you can ask Alexa everything to make your life easy! I’m happy I purchased this product and I will recommend it to my family and friends. I bought 5 as my Christmas gifts to my relatives. It works well and I’m so impressed.

The third-generation Echo Dot trades in the all-plastic sides of its predecessors for a cloth-covered finish. With softer, more-rounded edges, the new Dot looks less like a hockey puck and more like something you'd want in your living room. One other minor improvement is that the third-generation Echo Dot supports 802.11ac Wi-Fi, while the second-generation supported only 802.11n.

My grandson loves his echo dot. He uses it all the time for his music and to get answers to questions. It was a great purchase and would definitely buy it again.

I've had a few of these and the speakers work great. Although I'm still trying how to daisy change them together. The (3rd Gen) was quite an improvement over the (2nd Gen) in clarity and volume.

I have used both Google and Amazon products and it seems that the Amazon products are easier to set up. Alexa and Google still have some issues, but they seem to get smarter each year. The difference - at least to me - is that Amazon products seem to be "smarter" out of the box.

Bought this for my 11 year old daughter fit her birthday and she loves it. I love the fact that I can get a hold of her through the Alexa and she can also call my phone from it.

Easy set up. The sound is a marked improvement over the prior smaller version.

I bought this for my godmother for Christmas. She absolutely loves it! She can listen to all of her favorite songs just by asking the device to play it. She gets the name wrong most of the time but for the most part she has no problems getting it to play.

I got 2 of these free with the purchase of my Ring doorbells. I am amazed on how loud they are and with the house having a mixture of Apple products and google products and Prime you can’t go wrong. I am just worried about ALEXA always listening to everyone talk.

We love the echo dots! I have 3 of them in my house and just recently realized we can talk from one room to the other using the Alexa Announce option. Saves a lot of yelling and running up and down the stairs.

This is very new technology for me so I am still learning all the things it can do. It was very easy to set up. I'm liking the trivia games. I also play my Sirius radio through it. Set alarms, get local weather and temperatures.

I love my Alexa ! It is so wonderful to find out weather , temp , I mostly use mine to listen to the old country music.

Got this one to give as a gift. The sound quality is decent, and although not as good as the standard Echo (which is expected given the price point), it is an improvement over the previous generation Dots. And it performs all the Alexa skills. The recipient of this gift is quite happy with it.

This was very useful. It is smart and the color is wonderful. It is like a friendly tool to help you in your day to day life. Whether it be the music or weather, this echo dot is the best at what it does and its functions. I would highly recommend to anyone.

This was free with a TV purchase I made and was perfect for adding music to the patio. Sounds better than expected and all I really needed out there. Hooked right up to the WiFi...no issues at all.

A gift bought for my 11 year old to use when having friends over and playing her music. Also to help when researching items for school. She loves her echo. Believe it or not she was able to set it up by herself. The instructions were simple and easy to follow.

Fine smart speaker. Small enough to fit anywhere. Dark color makes it fit anywhere. Good sound quality.

It is great specially playing music I like just at a snap. I haven’t set it up all with it doing all the smart home things, but I am using it for my home security like opening garage door and unlock front door and set my alarm on..etc. It is really very nice what this small speaker can do.

Never had any of the old versions but read the sound wasn’t as good as this 3rd generation. I can testify this one is loud and clear ! I can be in my bedroom and speak to Alexa in the kitchen 1-2 rooms away and she can still hear me. You can ask her to raise her volume or lower it without going to the dot itself so that’s a plus. We have set up our lights with it and it works perfect, very easy. Alexa responds to anyone’s voice so that could be a plus or minus if others start commanding her to do things. The great thing is both my husband and can add Alexa to the app on our separate phones ( one iPhone and one Android ) and we both have access to make changes so that’s a bonus.
