This is a great gift for anyone who likes tech and wants info fast and at hand. Alexa works great and is extremely helpful. I still haven't used smart home bulbs or other tech but I plan to in the future and I'll rely on Alexa to give me a hand with everything.

I am completely satisfied with this item, i use this everyday for my weather updates and basic information i need to know. Im also using it to control my appliances in my home. Its a must have item!

Having the Echo Dot has become life-changing. Besides checking the daily weather, my favorite use is to listen to the radio all night from another city with crystal clear reception. Alexa has helped score me major points in settling family trivia arguments, and I'm really not sure how I could get along without her constant help and friendship. Unboxing and setup took about 5 minutes, including installation of the phone app. It couldn't have been easier, looks small and sleek on my nightstand, and is powerful enough to be heard clear across the house. It'll be fun to investigate all of the skills that are available.

It's a good little speaker with extra functionality. I haven’t fully utilized its full potential yet, like ordering things for me on amazon but it's there if I need it.

Bought this as our 1st generation Echo won't control Sengled smart bulb we have. This Dot came with a Sengled bulb too. Sounds good and bulbs work well once the schedule was perfected in the Alexa App.

A very useful and fun electronic part of my family room. My grand children love it for games and music. It has so many things you can do with it.

Second verse, same as the first… no hassle setup and use. Love to tell Alexa to play an entire album; sometimes just one song. This is my second dot, and I may need a third!

Works as expected. We use it to check the weather, play music, traffic report….I’m sure there are other things like ordering through Amazon, and such, but for us it’s a great and inexpensive product.

I resisted “The Man” listening in at my house to all of my conversations and arguing— haha These things are pretty cool. You can say hey Alexa, play 80s One Hit Wonders and was la, you are back in the club. The sound isn’t too shabby either.

I use my Echo Dot to stream Sirius and Spotify because Jazz is limited in the city of San Antonio. I haven't used the other options yet, but I know that when I do I will be amazed, and happy with the results. Happy customer, excellent purchase.

The Amazon Dot is a great device. However, I wanted to use it with my Nest thermostat for in room temperature adjustments. So I had to return this and Best Buy was great about it. I switched to the Google device.

Amazon Echo Dot is amazing & very useful when turning off or on the lights or just use throughout the house!

This is a very neat lil item . Comes in very handy for music and alarms . Only downside is everytime there is a ALEXA ad on TV it activates mine .

I got this at a great price during the recent Black Friday sale. This is now my 4th echo dot which I placed it in my son's gaming room. Everything was easy including setup and use. The only drawback which I mentioned in my other review is that Alexa only allows you to link 1 Spotify account. And because of this limitation, you can only play music from one Spotify account at any single point in time. For example, if my wife plays music from the echo dot in the kitchen via Spotify, I cannot play music from Spotify on another echo at a different part of the house. I also cannot play Spotify from my phone without terminating the earlier playback since Spotify only allows you to play at a single source at any given point in time. If Alexa can allow multiple Spotify accounts (which many of us do with the family plan), this will be a 5 star rating! I ended up setting up this echo dot under my son's Alexa account which allows him to link this to his Spotify account. However, this means that this echo dot is in a separate set up as my other echo dots.

Hard to imagine before having an Echo in the house. We have the video version downstairs and wanted one for upstairs. Great addition to ask those quick questions and play your favorite music. The Echo Dot version is at a perfect pricepoint to add to additional rooms.

We wanted an better way to communicate between floors on the house and this works great for that. Alexa is great for hands-off questions, getting weather, setting reminders, etc. It's easy to use but there are almost too many options. I like playing background music from Amazon or the services that I already have. It would be nice if there was a digital audio output to connect to my stereo. The sound is OK but not great.

This came as a gift with purchase when I got my Ring cameras. I wasn't ever interested in a Dot prior... but I didn't know what I was missing! Now I find myself trying to ask Alexa to do things when I'm not near her! Might have to purchase a few more!

Good quality. Works well with commands. Ability to connect with many devices is a p,us.

This was a bonus when buying a replacement TV. So I replaced my Google with Alexa. I like the fact that it links up with my Fire TVs and other devices pretty easy as well.
