Received this Echo Dot free with the purchase of a Fire TV. It is very convenient to listen to Christmas music, a Bucks or Badgers game, check on the weather or as others have enjoyed to just ask interesting questions. At times need to repeat ourselves as Alexa doesn't always get our requests correct, but overall a fun little speaker.

I don't put too much burden on Alexa and we seem to get along great. She's controlling some basic light and sound functions at 100% satisfaction. I have two dots running all the time. I even tricked her into helping me play music through my Harmony system.

The Echo Dot is great to have in smaller rooms. The sound is good, and it's so convenient to be able to ask for radio, time, weather, and more. With Amazon Prime Music it's especially useful for requesting specific songs, types of music, performers, etc.

Nice improvement from the previous version, not only on the looks but the quality on the sound. Keep in mind that the speaker is small, don't expect BOSE-like sound, but they serve a nice purpose, and, come on, you can beat the price, they are almost free nowadays.

When used in conjunction with Amazon music, Amazon Prime you really get a lot out of this device. It sounds ok for a small room and is fairly user friendly. My daughter keeps asking it to play "Baby Shark" lol. I mainly use it for the weather, questions that I would normally Google on my phone, or listening to music while I work from home. I kind of wish we would have went with the full sized Echo, but still not bad sound out of this speaker.

We have several echo dots and wonder if we should use them or add the upper level version. We have her all over the house now and enjoy the ease of turning on and off lights when hands are full or just asking questions when we need to know something.

I bought 3 of these Echo Dot's. I have mine at my desk while I am working and it is so nice to have it there. I can listen to any uplifting songs and artists that I like. Would highly recommend getting one...or three!!

Bought this as a Christmas grab gift. My mom had won it and hooked it up and hasn’t stopped using it. My mom and dad love it because they can just talk and Alexa does what it’s asked to do. I would highly recommend this gift for everyone!

I have the second gen echo dots, big echo speaker, and echo show. The speaker in the 3rd gen echo dot destroys all of those. It has a better microphone too so I can actually use it effectively as a home intercom system. The alexa 2nd gen wasn't loud enough for that.

Best think I’ve ever bought! Plays best music and I even took one to Mexico and works wonderful!

With a little setup they worked great right out of the box! We have three now and can play music all over the house as well as a lot of other services. Very easy to set up from the app. Regular price is a bit high so catch them on sale.

I chose the echo based upon the reviews of it capability with Alexa controls. It is a simple set up process. You just need to play with it a bit to explore many things that it can do for you. Once you get used to it, you will wonder why you didn’t have one before.

I like to sleep with my rain sounds and I play my music all the time in my room

I actually love this product it was easy and a breeze to setup it took about 5 minuts by the way and I even set it up from my iphone 7 plus it was easy. You can say alexa turn off your lights and you can say alexa play pandora radio.

Being able to tell Alexa to play my music, turn my lights on and off, add to my shopping list, adjust the temperature of my house, etc. is such a great thing! I really like having the ability to do this with a simple spoken command.

I love my dot!! it is great for asking the weather and for playing music. It will set a timer at a voice request while I am cooking. I am loving it.

We got the Echo Dot free with the purchase of a ring camera. This is not something we would have purchased, but am happy that we have. Easy to set up and use. Purchased an additional Echo Dot to put on our lower level. Would recommend for anyone.

I purchased like 10 for everyone I know they are really, I use the white noise for help with sleep, reminders and alarms, only complaint I have is that sometimes she cant hear me but that could be c use I have a raspy voice, other than that nothing negative to day

Alexa has become quite the assistant around the house. She is able to play music throughout the house, control our entertainment system and Roomba i7, and turn lights on/off. Working on adding more stuff to her. She also helped us track Santa as he made his rounds.

My biggest regret was not buying more during the black Friday sale. Loud sound compared to echo shows and respond so much better than the Google's did
