I’ve really liked using the echo dot. I’ve compared with google home and the voice recognition seems superior with this device. The skills are more platform agnostic as well, which is nice when we have services from a variety of providers. Not 5 stars only because it does still struggle with commands sometimes. That’s to be expected with these devices.

I was able to purchase this for a great price as an introduction to Alexa! Set up was easy enough for this grandmother! So much easier to access music and other smart devices. Order was easy and delivery was good too.

First of all I can’t believe how great the sound is coming out of this small speaker. It’s a great help in the kitchen and in every day life.

I bought this Alexa for my father in law who was looking to purchase one, and he have been loving the use of it every since. I have actually purchased more after the review he gave me on his.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for my nephew, along with a smart bulb and plug. He loves them. He has a blast using Alexa to play noises, music, ask questions, and turn the lights on/off lol

I really Love Alexa's capabilities. She is very informative and Great learning tool for the Family. It came with the purchase of the Television so it was really a surprise to recieve it and be able to use Alexa.

Gave in and finally joined Alexa Nation. Still learning all the things Alexa can do. Paired two speakers, kind of like stereo. Very good sound for such a small unit. Amazon will take over the world soon!

We use our Amazon Echo Dot around the house and outside on the screen porch. It is good to move from room to room and has a very nice sound. We really have been enjoying listening to it.

My family loves Alexa. We love how she can set timers, play music, answer questions about just anything, and control our appliances. Very competitively price too.

I have 8 Dot Gen 3's and 1 Dot Gen 2 and I can't help but use them every day. They work and integrate with everything. I think these sound better than the google home and will be of more use in the future than Google.

Amazing!! It does everything I need it to do. Plays music tells the weather and some of everything. I absolutely have been enjoying it. Just make sure you have time to download the app.

Alexa has made my house great. Compatibility with the lights is the best part. My basement lights are on single pulls. Smart bulbs + Alexa for the win! No rewiring to put all on 1 circuit necessary!

What a nifty product, the speaker quality is superb, it's well built and a great multitasker. Note you'll need to pair it with your phone for it to make calls and such. I'm sure we're going to have more of them in the future!!

We would this item for our bathroom to listen to music in the shower, get weather and traffic info in the mornings. I could not believe it was only $30! The sound is nice and I would recommend the Echo Plus for larger rooms.

Great home accessory to make life easier. The sound is great and the various alexa compatible products are endless. I know the dot was upgraded - but I think this one is still a smart buy.

I had couple of the gen 2 dots and decided to get a 3rd gen when it went on sale. The 3rd gen sounds 200% better. I love the whole house music experience. I have since outfitted every room with an echo dot .

This review is not so much about the Dot because there are thousands of those to filter through. Clearly Amazon is phasing this version out because you’re limited to one color and no option for the one with the clock. That being said Amazon is offering this dot with a lightbulb on their site for the same price but with quite a delay in delivery. But not to be outdone Best Buy is offering the same deal plus 4 months Sirius XM! And you can pickup in 1 hour! How can you pass that up? You can’t. So if you’re in the market for one, buy now before they’re all gone! $19.99 plus free bulb and Sirius XM.

I use four of these around my home; helping me with voice control for my thermostat, Sonos speaker system, Ring cameras & alarm system, etc. The units are not expensive and work very well.

This Echo Dot is perfect for my grandsons room. I play music we can sing to, soothing sounds to help him relax and sleep. I can whisper to ask questions when he is sleeping. Love having it.
