I know it's an older model of the DOT, but this is Great! I like the sound, I've also been able to connect to my TV and sound bar to add to the sound when playing music.

Between personal use and gifts, I've purchased at least a half-dozen Echo Dots. Every single one works like a champ with no issues. Alexa makes it so simple to listen to all my favorite music and Talk Radio programs.

Easy set up and works great. I've gone overboard but just too neat to not have. I control lights and switches with a few words. I can find most answers by just asking "Alexa _____________" Food, TV, Movies, she has the answer. Play music ? Just anything. Notifications? Yep. Reminders? Yep.

I’ve purchased many of these and they have all worked great. So easy to use!

I received this as an "add on" to another purchase so was very pleasantly surprised. I love the small size of it so I can tuck it away on a counter while I work. I have a larger one that has a bit better sound quality, but the Echo Dot is just fine. It does have to be connected to a power source, so it's not as portable as other speakers, but for an office, kitchen or small space it is perfect.

Works as intended. Decent sound. Easy setup and connection with other devices.

Love my Alexa puck...she’ll have 3 sisters to compliment my smart home. Living in the kitchen to help my lovely wife keep track of measurements, order ingredients, and play music for her while she cooks. Helps by keeping a shopping list for her too.

Was confused between Google mini and this but having viewed lots of review online. I have decided on this. Got this on sale but could have bought one more so that I could create stereo. Sound quality is good, setup is breeze. I have it connected with my wyze and Philips hue and completely satisfied.

This came free with a purchase. The sound quality is fantastic, and the smart functionality seems functional. My biggest qualm with it is that it’s not battery powered and must stay plugged in when in use. If it weren’t free, I wouldn’t have gotten it, but I’m not super interested in making my house a smart home.

Alexa is a nice spontaneous online helper. It's speaker quality is very good with excellent receiving capacity by its 4 microphone. It's size is very cute and can place on bed side table.

I love the amazon echo's and have so far purchased three. I have had some difficulty getting them linked together, but otherwise I enjoy the ease and convenience of having them throughout the house. Alexa's voice controls have gotten better since the first generation and that has been a HUGE plus.

All I can say is I hope the jokes get better but it can’t bring a smile love asking about the weather the tires and controlling lights playing music is OK I bought a Bose that has Alexa in it to get a little better sound but overall good stuff thank you very much

This is a simple to setup and integral tool for use in home automation. I have it controlling lights, a smart TV, soundbar, garage door & door locks. The speaker is decent in a small space. It is also a great source for getting internet answers to questions.

We love the Alexa dot! It’s small, so it can be kept on the counter without getting in the way, but still provides a lot of great features. We use it as an alarm clock (with custom tones) as well as to listen to music, news, the weather, etc.

I love my Amazing Echo Dots. They are very easy to use, and set up is a breeze. The sound quality is very nice for such a small speaker too. I love that I can group my Echo with my Echo Dots to experience sound throughout my home.

I bought this to use with my Ring alarm system and doorbell. It can be a chime for the doorbell, and a great way to turn on/off the alarm. It also has a Guard mode that activates when you tell it you're leaving, which will listen for glass breaking or alarms when you're gone and notify you.

Amazon echo is a great addition to my household I love that she answers you when you call out to her. She also does what you ask!

I really enjoy this Echo Dot (3Gen) it has a really good sound and is very easy to use. I play it daily, and never really have any issues. I try and keep it simple, echo dot make me able to do so.....I recommend getting a Echo Dot. Price is right too.

If you are like me and have never had a smart speaker of any type this is an excellent device to start with. Amazon's 3rd generation echo dot come with improved sound and better microphone than it's previous efforts. The far field microphones will pick up speech even if not in the same room. The speaker itself is full of sound and bass. If plan on getting multiple echo dots you will be happen to know that you can group multiple dots together to have them play the same music, podcast, audiobook, etc. The list of features do not stop with audio playback, the echo dot is capable of controlling smart home items such as light bulbs, thermostats, locks, etc. all done though set up in the Alexa app. In short there are many things that this small speaker can not do, if you decide to pick it up you will be happy.

The product does as advertised and was easy to setup. Speaking to and activating the device can be done using your normal tones and speech patterns, for adults. This is where the fun starts. My daughter yells at the device and it doesn't respond, and that's enjoyment for her brother and i. alarms can be set with the app or speaking (normally) directly to the device. Be careful what you say around the device, it will respond/react. I would recommend this to a friend, especially to torture others.
