It can hear you from far to take commands and does pretty good with listening. It makes life easier

Love this echo dot, when i'm running behind for work it tells me the time, the time it'll take me to get to work, play my favorite music while i'm getting ready, and answer nearly any question i ask. Definitely a purchase that was worth it!

This is way more fun than I expected. I dont use a lot of smarthome features, but now that I'm getting used to Alexa, things are about to change. Really convenient way to listen to tunes while I'm working on the computer or playing on my phone. I use it a lot for simple questions and information too. Im going to order some smart light bulbs soon so I can make her do even more for me. Haha My major complaint is that I can't use it to call or text someone unless they sign up with the Alexa app too. That's a loss of a whole star there, because Google smart devices do that just fine with my Samsung Galaxy devices. This was free with the purchase of a TV, but I've mulled around the idea of getting one for a few years. Ive got other speakers that are better sounding, but as far as convenience goes, this little Echo is great for me. It sits right beside my recliner on a table where I embarrassingly spend most of my time. There has never been a problem of hearing it or not hearing me. The reminders arw handy too. Hve been dabbling with the shopping lists feature too. I espect to use this more and more but really wish I could call and text my peeps with her.

We really liked the previous version of this, but thought it may be time for an upgrade. Wow did they make this better. More attractive and way better sound and voice recognition than earlier models (even though those were good, too). Really LIKE it!

My favorite part about the echo dot is I can sync them all to play the same music from my phone. I have one in every room and I can adjust the volume. It’s like having a wireless speaker system in my entire house. The sound is not overpowering so if you’re looking for something that will be super loud, this may not be the device for you, however, if you’re looking for subtle music to play, while entertaining, you will love this!

I’m very pleased with this echo dot! Didn’t think it was going to be much better than the cheaper brand named ones, but the sound is room filling! Amazing so much sound quality comes out of such a small device! Looking at buying another in the near future!

This is a great Alexa device. I have them all over, and can get information about anything, anywhere. This is much nicer than the prior version, and if you buy the hanger, you can keep it off the table and on the outlet. Wonderfully simple and esthtically pleasing product

Got this free with the purchase of a TV. My 20 year old daughter loves it. Great sound for Spotify and she loves her music loud!!! Thanks for the future headaches!?!

I love Alexa devices. They are adding new skills! You can ask her to play music, set an alarm, arm your security system, for time and weather. You can get news updates etc. from her. You can also place them in a group so all devices run simultaneously from room to room.

Unlike the Amazon Echo the Amazon Echo Dot is just the right size to have in smaller rooms. With the much cheaper price you can have them in multiple rooms throughout the house. The sound quality is great and their appearance is much better than previous generations.

I upgraded to this from Echo generation 1, this one sounds so much better than the old one. Alexa still comes on from time to time when you don't summon her, and she still can't understand when I ask her to play my playlist on Pandora, but I still like this one

I love this item. The setup was very easy. I use it in my bedroom as I have the larger one I. The family room. All the music on my phone was added with no problem. It allows me to listen to music while I’m in bed. To adjust volume by voice command to Alexa.

Echo Dot has been around for a long time. My Alexa system works near a Google Nest system. They control the same lights in a one bedroom apartment. Both brands are worth the investment. Amazon seems to have entertainment in mind. Echo products have many skills for playing music or answering questions. Skills are nice, but they are meant to have a premium charge. Watch your response to Alexa's questions. This Echo Dot is well made and easy to setup with the Alexa app. If you have a Wi-Fi router, try one. Alexa just might tell you how old she is. (A few other "wake up" names can be used. Mine responds to "Computer.")

Small size with a good sound quality. Easy to set up. I bought two for setting a paired stereo system for my fire tv stick. It can also be connected to my mobile via Bluetooth. Just one disadvantage that it must work in the internet environment. Otherwise, Alexa will not be functioning.

Got this free with purcase of a tv! Already own a few. Good sound. Get notifications . Syncs well woth other Amazon products.

I love these little dots. We use ours to play music, ask random questions like the weather, and turn the lights on and off. It even lets me know when I have an Amazon order out for delivery. They’re so small and convenient too.

Better than expected sound and very useful. Answers almost any question and good for reminders. Can connect to most Amazon products like Ring Security through Bluetooth. Downloaded the app and set it up easily. Highly recommended for starting a smart household.

Nice little speaker. We've had one for years and love it, so when i found out this one was only $15 it sounded like a grest Xmas gift. They loved it.

Purchased three of these now. I have it hooked to my Nest thermostat and several light, and really enjoy being able to control all from simple verbal commands.
