I LOVE this device. It came it free when I purchased my Insignia TV and will purchase three or four more for other rooms. I would have given this a 5-star rating, but I ran into problems when I tried to buy them online.

I highly recommend the 3rd Gen Echo Dot as it’s a small device with lots of functions. It has great sound for music and Alexa responds correctly to endless questions. Love it!!!

i was looking for an upgrade to replace my older digital alarm clock, and saw this on bestbuy.com and another site. did some research on the Echo Dot 3rd gen, and read good things about it. it was on sale on here so decided to purchase one. i'm very glad that i did. it's my first time actually using an Alexa product. i mainly use it as an alarm clock, and at times ask Alexa about the weather, or just to listen to the morning radio. the sound is clear and pretty loud for a puck sized radio with a fabric covering on it. she hears me pretty well when i am on the other side of my apartment. i definitely recommend this product to anyone that is in the market for an item like this.

Alexa is very useful. I bought it on sale and almost all the rooms in my house have it now. I can control most of my appliances and electricals via voice now.

Really good sound quality and volume. You can also connect them, which helps communication around my house.

Not a bad little device with a decent sound. Its a smaller version of an alexa speaker. its great for a small bedroom. i like the look of the device and what it does!

Instead of shouting "KIDS, DINNER IS READY", you only need to quietly say "Alexa, drop in the kids' room", and then talk at your normal voice :) That's only one of the things this Echo Dot can do. We've asked it to play music, and to play an interactive game (e.g. Who Wants to be a Millionaire) at dinner time. The kids use it to set reminders, as an alarm clock, check the weather, and to look up something on the internet... It is very useful. It can also order stuff for you on Amazon, but I have not used that function yet.

Its small but loud! Quailty of sound is pretty good too. Love that you can hide them behind anything. Easy to setup

This echo dot is great because it does so many things if you take advantage of all of its features. You can set your alarm in the morning, get news, play any song (with amazon music) and more!

I love the new version of the echo dot. The sound is much much better and actually has a touch of bass. It connects easily and can pick up the activation word from across the room. Very handy

My son introduced me to how the Echo Dot worked by having it turn on our Christmas tree by voice commands. Seemed pretty neat. As a result, I ordered 2 surge protectors which had outlets and USB ports that are voice controlled. By installing one of these next to my recliner, I can turn two lights on/off, two computer chargers on/off, and the four USB ports on/off. Since my den does not have an overhead light, is somewhat dark and the light switches are inconvenient, the Echo Dot make it easy to turn on lights when I enter the room or turn off when leaving. Especially nice when I have something in my hands. And it was easy to set up!

Excellent product, very versatile and the size is perfect

I have a few Echo Dot's in my house. All of them were easy to setup and work great. It is cool to play music throughout the house on all the echo dot's.

Had this as a gift to my son for Christmas and he really loved it. He often asked Alexa questions. It also works on most electronic/wifi device and great assistant (weather, music, alarm etc).

I love my Alexa dot it works great for my alarm it turns my tv off and plays my favorites on playlist mode !

Besides telling jokes and ordering products on Amazon, the Echo Dot makes a great smart home hub. Alexa has no issues with my voice or even my wife's, who has a slight accent. Using the Dot, I control multiple light switches with it through my voice and integrations with the skills. My wife also likes to check the weather before venturing out for the day. With two of these we have also set up an intercom between rooms. The only negative side is registering the device with a single account, instead of allowing multiple accounts use on the device with unlock pass codes. I recommend the Echo Dot for anyone with Amazon Prime or those setting up smart devices in their home.

I received one with each of the last 3 Toshiba Televisions I bought. I was not sure how they worked so I just gave one away and put the other two aside .... I saw really popular for Christmas so , I asked my son to set mine up for me... On Christmas .. I asked Alexa to play my favorite Christmas Song by the Temptations and she did so quick and then I asked for my favorite Artist Whitney's Christmas and it shuffled her Christmas Songs .. OMG... it was so hard to put my egg nog down and stop listening to go to bed for work the next day. I am so glad I got my son to set it up for me..

I bought it for my bedroom. It works with plugs and lights well. Great product and great price!

This suprised me with the simplicity and ease of set up. The device works well and the speaker is of good sound quality considering how small it is. I think it sounds as good as my JBL Flip 3.

These little gadgets have been amazing. Set them up in all of our bedrooms and living spaces. Helps avoid yelling throughout the house because we use drop in and announcements to talk to each other. The multi room music groups help keep the volume down upstairs when I’m cleaning because I can hear the same music synced in each room as I walk between them. Got my mom a couple and set up so if we can’t reach her we can drop in and make sure she’s okay without her needing to be able to reach a phone. I also gave one to my special needs niece and it helps keep her busy listening to music instead of waking my sister up at 4 am. Just be sure to disable the calling feature and also set so you can’t order things from it. Quality of the sound is as expected for this type of device, size, and price. The speaker isn’t as great as I’d like. And it’s not portable or rechargeable in the fact that is always has to be plugged in. Those last items are the only reason I give it a 4.
