Small and compact good sounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not have a need for an Echo Dot, however, I purchased one with a Ring Video Doorbell so that I could receive ring notifications when someone is at my door. I've found myself using the Echo Dot for other simple tasks too like setting reminders and alarms. Overall, it's become a useful addition to my living room

It’s really good for reminders if you forget things now and then, if you love music get this the sound is really good bass and everything is goood.!

I love how easy this Echo makes life! I can drop in and tell the family I’m on the way home. It has an intercom type feature to talk to someone elsewhere in the house or just make an announcement. We have one upstairs and one down. They are so helpful from adding things to lists to quick access to all kinds of info without having to type a thing!

this came free with the ring doorbell. although i am a google assistant house through and through i didnt mind getting an echo with the ring since the echo serves as a ring "chime" extender. SO instead of having to by a ring chime so i could hear the doorbell in the back of the house i installed the echo which gave me other perks

Its better than the Gen2. I have the Echo Dot Gen2 and Gen3 playing out of a/v receiver. The Gen 2 has a slow response compared to the Gen3. When my ring doorbell detects motion before my phone can say anything that Gen3 has already said it, then my phone then the Gen2 Echo dot. Music of voice prompts sounds awesome with the changes to speaker placement. love it

It’s a nice product but it seems like they are shipping these free with every electronic purchase I order. I have one Echo, one Alexa, and two Echo Show Devices. I have enough for every room in the house, but not enough bandwidth to keep them going with two phones, three iPads, two TVs all using wireless. When our son calls, we have to disengage wireless on our phone so that video will work on FaceTime.

Does all the functions I need it to do in a life day to day basis. There’s a variety of products that work with Alexa that makes your life simple and easy. For me I’d prefer Alexa but it really comes down to price and preference. Google mini home is a good rival too tbh. It’s a matter of research if you can’t decide but Alexa is a great device!

Fun little thing to have around the house ,specially when on cleaning mode and playing songs without having to type it on the phone or connecting to a Bluetooth speaker,just ask and you should receive.

Sounds much better than the 2nd generation dot. Nice sleek look also.

I always said smart speakers weren't something I needed in my life. Now that I have this Echo, I still think that, but I also understand why people like them. Alexa has so many different skills. I can even control my touchscreen Samsung oven with it, and as a blind person, that's just awesome. Also, I definitely think Alexa is a better assistant than Siri, and I'm pretty enmeshed in the Apple ecosystem.
