The sound on this echo dot 3rd gen is a huge improvement over the 2nd generation. This version of the dot is the first one I would recommend to someone who is interested in a smart speaker. The new one actually has bass. Very happy with this purchase. A great value for the money. All in all a nice product for the smart home.

This little thing sounds awesome!! I bought it for about half of the original selling price and it was a steal! Alexa work, but it could get better. I have a few of this in my living room and set them up in different places to get as best audio as possible. Would recommend, but probably not for more than $40.

I got this for my wife for her birthday & she absolutely loves it. It does so many things. It doubles as a Siri, answers questions, you can tell it to play your music, tells you when the game is on, etc. The #1 feature she loves about it the most is that you can control your Roomba with Alexa. So multifaceted.

Fourteen year old daughter easily set her device up on her own. Very user friendly, only down fall is some features require higher level of option and pay for options in app for it to be compatible with this device! Other than that, this is great and with it being free with Ring purchase; not much to complain about!!! Lol

The title says it all. If you know these dots, they are great little gadgets. We have had several of the older generation. In addition to the new softer appearance, the sound quality seems to have improved quite a bit over the older generation, even though the price has stayed low.

Like using this for music when I’m working out at home:and it tells jokes.

Cannot say enough how perfectly simple Amazon has made this unit, and their entire platform. This is a great addition to our smart home that allows me to control the entertainment center in our media room. Do yourself a favor and watch for a frequent sale price: I paid $30 vs. the normal $50

Amazon Echo is a great addition to any home. This one doesn't have a clock, but you can just ask Alexa what time it is. We have this in my son's room and set up cool alarm routines for school mornings. Pair it with a wifi light bulb and you can set the tone for the day off right.

ALEXA IS A FUN AND KNOWLEDGEABLE COMPANION WHICH NEVER CEASES TO AMAZE ME. YOU CAN ASK HER NEARLY ANYTHING AND IT WILL GIVE YOU THE CORRECT RESPONSE. I USE HER AS AN ALARM, TIMER, STREAMER, ETC. YOU CAN HOOK UP EXTERNAL SPEAKERS FOR AN ACCEPTABLE MUSIC SYSTEM WITH OUTLETS IN MULTIPLE ROOMS.

I love my Echo. It’s got great sound quality. Setup was also a breeze.

These have great sound and are very easy to set up.

Alexa is the most handy device I've ever owned. With the ease of home automation now, not having a device, like an Echo Dot, seems downright nutty to me. Want to hear NPR news? Just ask, want to dim the light? Go for it. With a decent wifi connection, the Echo Dot is a tank.

Doesn't take a lot of space, and works wonderfully.

I got this smart speaker for free with a purchase for another device and I absolutely love it. I use it to set a time, play music, turn on/off the TV, play games, etc. There is so much this device can do. I would highly recommend it.

What can I say Alexa never disappoints I really enjoy being able to make commands or simply ask Alexa to do something for me and it is done. Alexa is great just for when you want your favoriting played or want the latest on updates news

Easy to use and set up understands voice commands.

This is my 5th echo device for the house; one more room covered. Not only does it play music and give you quick info about questions you may have but you can also "drop in" on another echo for one on one conversation or "make an announcement" for the whole house. Learning more every day.

When we received the Echo Dot as a present, we had no idea what it was. After fooling around with it, we were just overcome with all the stuff it does. We are not technical people, but this thing is really easy to use. And when I told it "good night" last night, Alexa told me, "Good night, Sweet dreams. How cool is that?

I was really satisfied with my purchase.When i buy anything online i always read the 1 star reviews and determine if i want to buy the item but this is the one item ignored the reveiws because a friend of mine reconmended it. Volume is great and it is easy to travel with.

and my echo dot connects to everything in my home. From my Eccobe thermostats to my lighting I can control it all thru my voice or an app.
