My son bought this as a gift for me as I wouldn’t have bought this for myself. After receiving this one, I’d consider adding them to other rooms in the house as we’ve enjoyed having it the kitchen got music, timers, etc.

The family loves it the kids interact with it daily it has games they tell it to play with them my mother which is 70 talks to it an it follows her directions instantly so Alexa is perfect for all age groups works excellently with the other devices and my Ring cameras

I bought on Black Friday, and it’a better than my old alexa, good sound, but it’s little slow when alexa response. It’s good.

Love this little fella! Affordable and does what I need him to. I no longer have to steal my daughter’s when I want to jam out in the kitchen. As the second one we’ve purchased, we have no complaints.

Kids have a lot of fun playing games and listening to music on this. Also used as an alarm and sleep machine.

The new echo dot has good sound and a new Look. Good price for the holidays.

This is the first product that I had as an echo I wasnt really worried about having one but I invested in one and it turned out to be good just love the features of changing my TV channels , turning of my TV or turning g on the lights technology is just getting better an I would say buy it

Purchased for my 7 year old since he is learning virtually and I work from home but full time I needed an alarm that would be simple for him to set up and thought this would be perfect since it has a visual of the time as well. My 7 years old uses it to set reminders on his assignments due, alarms for when he has to log into a meeting and Alexa even helps with his spelling or simple math from time to time. He also plays music on his breaks and honestly takes advantage of the product a lot more than what I thought he would so we love it! Definitely a great purchase for virtual learning.

We have an echo-dot downstairs and we have surprisingly enjoyed it. The speaker itself i incredible for such a compact device. We were in the market for an alarm clock for our son's bedroom, however we thought an echo-dot can serve him in well. So far so good, he seems to be enjoying it

Wasn't sure about the Echo Dot until we purchased it. The sound is great for such a small speaker. We find ourselves using the Alexa everyday. Morning alarm, joke of the day and items that peak our interest like how fast can lizards run. Useful and fun!!! The grandkids can't get enough.

bought a new echo dot for the $15 dollar price. and also got a singled bulb with it for free. couldn't beat the price as a package. this replaced an echo dot that went bad.

I think I got the petty Alexa. I'll ask it something, she'll find it and then when I ask the samething aanother time she'll say she can't find it. I find myself in a one sided argument with her alot. Now I do like the products, just at times Alexa be playing dumb even though she helped you before for the same thing. I did change her name to computer which is fun because whenever we say computer in a conversation on the TV says it, she buts in, lol.

Way better sound than the Gen 2... A must if you want better and louder sound. Also check the alexa app there is a place in there where you can adjust the Bass, Mid and treble of the Echo devices. that also makes a slight difference for the Dot gen 2. But not as much as a Gen 3 replacement does. ;)

This Echo Dot 3rd Generation is great in all aspects except two, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. One thing it lacks is the extra adapter to connect/pair it with other devices like an external speaker or car audio system (ie. aux etc). The second thing is that the AI (Alexa) sometimes does odd things, but I believe it is just a "language" thing to a degree. I suppose it is still "learning". :) Otherwise, its very nice. Has great sound quality and helps with Smart Home devices.

This is my third Echo Dot I’ve purchased for my home and placed in strategic locations for my use; bed room, family room and work shop. I use my Dots for playing music, voice controlling my smart lights and small appliances, as well as asking questions

What can I say it's an Alexa works great as is expected I actually have this one in my outside building and so far I have not had any trouble I have it to turn on my building lights and if need be asked it questions about temperature and weather it works great

Daughter got me two for Christmas. Mostly using for music. Way batter than blue tooth hooked to a phone. Sound quality pretty good. I don’t listen too loud. One in kitchen and one in bathroom. Haven’t asked it much yet but the things like weather and when the next game is on has been pretty cool.

The Echo dot 3rd gen is the only one I've had experience with, and this was my second one. This one for my TV room. No problems with it, and from what I understand from friends, this is the best version, even over the 4th generation that just came out.

If you want it just for asking Alexa questions or setting a timer, or having it in another room, etc. it can't be beat, but for listening to music, by itself, would be disappointing. Pair it though, with another Echo Dot, and it sounds pretty good.
