Got this for my wife last year. She didn't think she would really take advantage of it but she was wrong! It's been great having it. Asking for the time, setting reminder alerts, etc.

I’ve been using this with the smart plugs and it’s amazing. It will tell me all the weather and traffic conditions when I start off my day and will shut down the lights without having to go to each switch and turning it off.

After owning generation 1 and 2 I took them both back the same day but this 3rd generation Is a keeper. When you pull it out of the Box it is heavy and well made plus looks a lot better and the speaker is great for just a dot.

I never seem to have radio reception, so I thought I'd try the echo dot--I'm so impressed! It streams whatever I want to listen to, tells me the weather, answers questions! I'm so impressed--I now want one in every room :-)

Works except for me to use at my job and it was priced fairly. I highly recommend this for office space types of a jod .

Great design, great sound. I had this at home, and my father in law liked it when I said "hey alexa play music". They moved to their retirement home, so I got it for them as a moving present.

The set up was easy. The sound is very nice. Being in another room doesn’t matter just have Alexa turn up the volume or turn it down. Soothing sounds before you or the kids sleep. So many things to do with this dynamite dot!

This dot can do far more things than I know what to do with it! And its sound system is incredible for the size of it!

My daughter bought one and suggested that we should get one as well. I was kind of skeptic at first, but after it was up and running, my wife and I enjoy the weather and traffic updates along with listening to the music.

These things are so cheap now, that I couldn't stop at just one. They are like a gateway drug to home automation. I have both the 2nd gen and 3rd gen, and the 3rd gen is far superior in terms of sound quality on its own.

This device is wonderful and works hand and hand with several smart devices in my home. For the price, convenience, accessibility and features you cannot go wrong with this device. I would suggest this over Google Assistant.

In general it functions well. The speakers are good for popular music but not adequate for a lot of classical music. Alexa has trouble understanding the names of composers of classical music and often fails completely. It was very entertaining for the people in their mid-twenties and their upper fifties at Christmas time.

These are great to place around the house to expand your home automation, or amazon music. You can link multiple units to create a speaker network that will play on multiple devices at once.

The speaker sounds much clearer than the earlier version. Unfortunately, my cat seems to really have a taste for the cord. So, on my third cord I decided to wrap it in fabric and that seems to have done the trick.

Alexa controls our whole house. Have one in all rooms used most frequent. For it's size, sound quality is great.

We love these echo dots. Start with one in the kitchen. Awesome to remind us on different cooking timers, playing music, tell me the weather, help me call to another room thruout the house, breaking news or even how much 2 3/4 cup or this plus 2 cups equals… just ask it anything. Its sound is crisp too. Cant get enough of them

I've never owned a google product. Now that I have the Echo I don't know what I was thinking. It does just about anything and have made life a little bit better.

Bought three for gifts for the holidays. Great tool and toy. Gave one to our six year old and she uses it for music, stories, checking the weather and asking questions. Sound quality is excellent in the 3rd generation.

The Echo dot was part of a package included with my Fire TV. I probably would not have just bought it otherwise. It's pretty neat but I'm sure I won't use it like Amazon hopes I would. It's great for a quick temperature check and setting alarms but I doubt I will be turning on any lights etc.

Was a lot louder with more base . Bigger than 2 generation . Would buy again.
