I was surprised at how much I like this after having read a lot of news stories recently about these devices and privacy concerns. I like that you can mute this so that it's not listening when you don't want it to. I am very pleased with the sound quality - it has a nice, rich sound compared to the sound that comes directly from the iPad. I'm also getting used to dealing with Alexa. She does not always respond the way I need her to, even when I'm being super clear. But that might be user error that will be worked out over time.

We now own 6 different Echo devices and I must say this one is pleasing! The sound quality exceeds that of the prior version and though not quite as good as the regular Echo it is still surprisingly clear and has good depth of tone. Such a quick setup as well, we had it hooked up and running in about 4 minutes.

I love it. I have it in my craft room. Echo keeps me company while I'm doing my crafts. I have lights hooked up and a couple of other outlets. Very cool. I have it read my books to me while I'm working or play music. Even make phone calls. Hands free. Shipping was fast. I used some points and got it for very reasonable.

I received the 3rd Gen Echo Dot as an add-on for another purchase. It's a great upgrade from the 2nd gen one that we had for a couple years now. The speakers have a tangible difference in the sound quality. The design also has come a long way too which seems to place the focus more on the speakers.

We have one in the kitchen, bedroom and living room. We love playing music in the house, using them for light switches and being able to play music for the dog while we’re gone. We have a plug programmed to a light for our dog. So it turns on with a schedule we made since it gets dark before we get home at night.

Well l’m old school so for be it is big thing. It dose music tell you time and how to bake.tech is ahead time never I thought to see something like this it dose everthing I like has different things it’s getting better time mine is black it match mine furniture it’s amazing it dose alarm how to bake.

Having a lot of fun using this with my elderly mom. Now instead of running to the computer every time someone says, "I wonder....", now the Echo Dot can answer all of our questions. It is nice and small so isn't an eye sore in the room. Easy to set up and to use.

Great volume! I use it to listen to music while cooking or cleaning , to ask random questions, gives me weather updates. Great buy:)

What did I do before Alexa!!? The size is small enough to fit anywhere, but sound is very clear. She detected my Smart TV so I will have fun letting her set me up. Best Buy shipped to me within days and great packaging. Thank you Best Buy,AGAIN, for being my go to company.

I am really enjoying the Amazon Echo and it’s variants (dot, studio, etc). I have a variant of Echo in every room of my house (love the everywhere feature for music). It’s nice setting up programs (“routines” as they are called) to automate simple things of our daily lives. IE: Give me news and weather and some light music after I dismiss my morning alarm; make an announcement at home to my family if I am near a grocery store in case anyone needs anything; intercom’ing with my kids down stairs to tel them dinner is ready or to do their chores; having Alexa automatically ensure all lights and TVs are shut off at a set time to save on energy bills; setting the heat/AC from anywhere in the home; and much much more. The sound quality is great on each variant with the Studio being beautiful sound. My next purchase may be an Echo subwoofer to add to the depth of the Studio. All in all, the 3D sound is great. There are occasional hiccups with a speaker, but a quick power reset has fixed anything I have ran into. All in all, I love the Exhos and it’s Alexa app!

I have loved this little guy! It hears commands well and allows effortless control of so many things around the house. Even though it is small it has a powerful speaker loud enough to reach several rooms in the house. The price is great for the power of this device. Glad we got this. Planning to get more.

This is a great product at a reasonable price. It provides quick answers to questions, reminders, alarms, and connectivity to people in other areas of the house. And, it makes hands-free phone calls with simple voice commands. It is easy to set-up and use.

Surprising that such a small object can have such wonderful sound. If you are looking for amazing sound, you need something much bigger, of course, but for its size, it gives out strong bass and clear fidelity. At its current special sale price, the Echo Dot 3rd generation is a steal.

didn't realize I needed this until I started utilizing it. I find it very convenient. I can tell alexa to play relaxing music for my dog as I leave. I can tell her to turn the lights off, etc. very happy with this product

Loud little speaker. I love to ask Alexa for the morning weather, fun facts, things that happened on this date, play me music (with my amazon music acct), set multiple alarms, drop in to other rooms, make lists, set up reminders. It's a handy device that I enjoy using.

This is our third Alexa device and I cannot day enough great things. The capabilities of this little device are endless. While it is not as loud as the larger Alexa device, this little guy does provide a ton of power. Really love the abilities it has and the ease to connect it to smart devices.

I have about 15 echo devices in my home. I love the architecture of what they can do. This third generation dot has a great improvement in sound quality over the previous ones. In fact, it is very close in quality to my Amazon Tap, which I feel is one of the most underappreciated echo units. I buy the Dot holders which allow you to display the Dot on the wall, plugged into the wall, hiding all the cords. They work perfect for our bathrooms and bedrooms. My wife has a dot on her sewing table which gives her the perfect amount of sound for the small area. I pair one up with my home stereo and use the line out port to run the sound through my Klipsch speakers. Sound is amazing. I also subscribe to Amazon Ultimate Music and love that service. You can find anything to listen too. Heck, my old neighbors' son started a band, recorded an album, and Alexa had it on release day. So cool! Anyway, when these go on sale for under $20, it is a no brainer. Great value and pretty good sound.
