this thing puts out a pretty good level of sound. Often times I'll simply use this device instead of my sound bar. If you aren't huge into bass but like a good sound...this is a great product.

Good sound for a small speaker. Love Alexa and the ease of use in streaming audio. Also have it hooked up to turn my tv on and off... fun! I actually have 3 situated throughout the house.

This is my first smart device. Alexa was easy to set up & came with a lot of freebies, like Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Amazon Reading & Audiobooks. I'll have to cancel in a month though, but it s a good taste to sample and keep what I like. I've downloaded games, word of the day, the news etc. it is endless. I could spend the whole day telling Alexa what to do, but I mostly use her for music and answering questions. I find that she doesn't know a lot, so if you're a kid, she can't do your homework, only basic question and answers. She can be connected to smart dimmers, light bulbs etc, but I have yet to buy and connect those things. So, right now, echo is pretty fantastic. She is a great hostess at parties, adjusting the music to my guests' tastes & preferences.

Its so small but has great sound quality & its also very reliable & easy to use.

Does the work as intended. My daughter loves. Sets alarm, play music, knows the weather. Its more like a personal assistant.

The sound is better. The fabric cover looks nice. The one problem is some auxiliary manufacturers have made devices like clocks that allow the dot to fit inside and work together, but they'll only connect with 2nd generation Dots. This third generation has eliminated that option. I wish Amazon would once again give their Dots the flexibility to work with more devices.

I use it for some of my home automation and voice control devices. Got it during a deal so it is a good value. The sound is a little better than the gen 2 model. A little more bass and a little louder.

Got this for my dad for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. It's easy to setup and use and the quality of it is super good considering I only had to pay $30.

I loved my "Little Dot" so much, I bought one for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I cannot tell you how much i appreciate the Shopping List feature. I use it several times a day. "Alexa, Add Milk to the Shopping List, Add Butter and Bread, Add Toilet Paper to Sam's list" We have a small 1 bedroom house w/ Basement, but I can yell from anywhere in the house for her to add things to my list, and she is always able to hear me. And, I dont have to worry about "forgetting my list at home or in the car" because the list is always on my phone in my Alexa app. She has made my everyday life much easier, and I am so thankful for her. I know its weird that I talk about her like shes a person, but it feels like she is sometimes, when you're alone and you ask her, "Alexa, How are you today?" And she answers you. And playing 20 questions with her is fun too. Okay, I'll stop bragging about her now.

This was my second echo dot purchase. It works well and the purchase price was very good since I bought it on the Black Friday sale. The speaker quality is surprisingly good for a unit this small. I do however like my Google home mini better because it seems to have more functionality and it answers questions more correctly.

I originally bought 2 dots for my new house just to see what they were all about. I had them for roughly a week and decided to get 2 more to put in other rooms. Out of the box they are very simple to get set up and started and the app is easy to navigate. I have all of them linked so I can listen to music throughout the house, I have connected some to speakers because the sound quality for music isn’t great, but it isn’t advertised to be. I’ve bought some of the plugs since and plan on getting lights soon as well. If you want something to control your music, set up a morning routine (tell you weather, news, drive time to work, and play a custom playlist you choose), control lights, tv (if you have a smart tv), and just ask random questions, for sure get one!

Received the echo with Ring doorbell cam as part of Xmas promotion bundle. If you are looking for a simple device that is discreet with a great speaker this is for you. You can access Alexa ..Spotify etc

I love my echo dots I have one in each room of my house and it makes it a lot easier to communicate with my children in other rooms rather than yelling for them across the house. It also has great sound quality. The only problem I have with it so far is that sometimes it freezes up and I can't get a response so I have to reset the whole device.

Love the convince of an Echo Dot for music, talk radio, controlling my lights, robot vacuum, etc. So easy to use & set up. Group them and music plays all over the house.

Purchase this echo dot for a present. My mother loved it! She connected it to her network easily and enjoys all the features such as Amazon music and being able to control her lights.

Amazon Echo Dot is great smart speaker and affordable price - so simple to set up - we use multiple Dots in the house and have smart plugs set up so we can speak to turn on/off lights

Better looking and better quality than the last generation. Not much to say other than that it works and I had no issues during setup. It is also constantly on sale and it's a good device for your room without a camera.

Have 3 of these through out the house and like being able to request information from any room. The sound and speaker quality has improved with this generation and it looks better than the earlier models.

Responds well to commands and questions. We use it to turn on and off our lights and gives us updates on our shipments from Amazon. Easily connects to wifi.

I am very happy with this product. It’s very easy to use. It was extremely easy to set up. I use it for everything from asking questions to add stuff to my shopping list and to control my lights or listen to music.
