Mom wanted one for Christmas. She has poor vision and I was worried about her being able to read it but she has no problems. Her biggest problem, is more of a “character flaw”. She expects Alexa to know her 100% straight out the box. She (pretends) doesn’t understand Alexa Skills and I have to add them for her but the speakers sound amazing and can be heard pretty much all over her 3000sq ft home if desired.

This speaker has amazing sound. A lot better than original echo. Much louder than the original echo.

I switched from a HomePod mini to the Alexa echo dot I must say the difference is night and day I wanted to start off small before buying the latest Alexa I can’t wait to update my HomePod mini constantly disconnected from my Wi-Fi and my phone would freeze all the time, I’ve had zero issues with the Alexa she does what I say without any.

Great device. It allows me to be updated on all of my purchases, weather updates, and works with multiple music apps. You can also pair them with other Alexa speakers for a whole home sound. They are a cheap way to add some enjoyment and entertainment to your life.

It does what it's supposed to do. Came free with TV so I can't comment on value. I use it as an extra speaker because I already have a few other alexa devices & they all have screens. Intigrates as well as the others & works as well, just doesnt have the visual features or as good as a speaker as the more expensive stuff, as expected of course

It came with ring video doorbell. It was a great purchase.

I love my Echo Dot! I brought one and turned around and brought two more to add more to the sound in the house. I love when have so much in my hands and I arrive home to just ask Alexa to turn the lights on, it is an amazing feeling! I must be honest I wish the sound was louder but I guess I could have brought a different one if that was a requirement when I was looking.

Ok so yes it can be a little hard of hearing but when it works it works. It is a definite upgrade over the gen 2 model in about every way possible. For home automation I think it works great but if you are one to ask for or need more information I would suggest a google home. I honestly have both setups and I use the echo dot a lot more. It is a great device especially if you have already vested into the amazon ecosystem.

Alexa can answer many Questions for me quickly and accurately. Weather reports, AMAZON Deliveries, fact checking, can turn on and off lights, stream music from many sources and so much more! What it does not know it can learn on the program that teaches it about your interests. Wonderful add on to making my retirement so much easier. One of the best features is the audio, no more typing and searching just ask Alexa!
