We got this free with our purchase of the ring kit, it doesn't matter that its a 3rd Gen. it still does the job and I truly would suggest it to anyone.

I was surprised when I heard the capabilities of the sound output from such a small device. It’s nothing crazy but it is loud and above average quality.

This is a great smart speaker if you're into the Amazon ecosystem. It sounds pretty good for the size and works great at controlling smart devices.

Formerly I had the Echo dot 2 but upgraded to Echo Dot 3. Easy to use; love all the features, especially since it syncs with my thermostat, stereo, etc..

Bought this as a gift for family member after purchasing same item for myself. Amazon has done well with the Echo Dot 3Gen because it is multi-functional and has a small footprint - good for a night stand or coffee table. Very unobtrusive. And it's functions are nothing short of amazing! Good purchase when you catch them on sale!
