Perfect for my room and easy to connect, the sound is loud and clear, got it on sale for $15 amazing speaker

Had a 1st generation dot and the sound was always kind of tinny. The 3rd generation dot sounds much better. All Echoes (Alexa) are pretty basic on their setup and they do what they are advertised to do.

I got this as a gift for my boyfriend - who loves music and has every speaker and bluetooth device and headphones on the market - but no Alexa. I set it up for him, and now him and Alexa are unseperable.....not sure how I feel about this, However, when he told alexa he was lonely and needed to talk to someone, she automatically dialed me....so maybe she is smarter than I think! All jokes aside, great introduction to the Alexa collection. Next purchase, I think will be a full size, although the Dot has great audio and is considerably loud despite its small size. My boyfriend even mounted his on the wall, and I'm glad i was able to find something perfect for someone who has everything imaginable and is usually hard to shop for!

This device came with the purchase of a Smart TV. I can connect some of my devices and appliances to it. Love the fact I can give commands anytime. It delivers accurate weather and recent news. Gotta have one!!!!

i use this for bedroom lighting, tv, music, amazon shopping, you name it. It's simple to use once you get the hang of everything. The online alexa and alexa app makes it easy to customize settings set up routines etc

First smart speaker. Easy to set up though your phone and works great. Family loves using it to play music. And it can make announcement to let your family know if you are coming home or getting food though the Alexa app.

It was a free gift for buying a pc… I gave it away and the person I gave it too loves it . Great sound easy to connect and set up

I love my new echo dot it’s loud and the sound quality is amazing for such a small speaker! The only problem is it sometimes has a Bluetooth problems when connecting to my phone, but other than that it’s great.

Love it! We have one in each room of our house. Great for whole house speakers, yelling for the kids has stopped... now we just “drop in” to get them to come down or ask them a question. So many uses.

The echo dot can do a lot—alarms, reminders, daily routines, play music, jokes and more. It’s like having a secretary in your home. I definitely recommend one because they have a low price,

Initially got the echo for Christmas and didn’t think it was a need, until we hooked it up to a hard to reach lamp. Since then we’ve bought the Echo Dot for our bedroom, as well as several Smart plugs and Smart bulbs for around the house. Having our lamps and even our Christmas tree activated by voice command is such a game changer. Life is so much easier now, especially with our hands full holding baby. We can dim the light with our Smart bulb for night feedings and even change the light to all sorts of colors just for fun. We can play music from Pandora over the Echo, play all sorts of games and even ambient sounds for baby when she sleeps. No need for any other sound machine or gadgets. We don’t know how we ever lived without it. The hubs and I definitely recommend this product. Even bought a couple as gifts.

Great gift for older adults or people who need reminders for doing things at certain times of the day. Being able to hook it up to ring cameras is a bonus!

There might not be a ton you'd use this for if you don't have a lot of other things around your home that would be considered "smart" devices. But if you do, this is great for simple tasks such as turning your light on or off. The best part is Alexa, which has come a long way since its introduction a while back. It's my personal favorite of the big 3 assistants you could use.

Alexa is awesome. There are so many things to do while using Alexa. I love playing music as easily saying the name of the song and she will play it. I can also set an alarm. I can call someone. I really recommend it!

Before we had this thing we just didn't really care about these fancy smart home devices thingies. Now we can't imagine our daily little tasks without Echo's help. She controls the house's temperature ( obviously, after we tell her to do so); she takes notes, setup timer, makes phone calls, search random stuff in the internet etc. The best part is: She is the only one in the house that listens to me. Cons: If you have more than one Alexa enabled device in the house, you will have to give them different names, and I think there are only four or five names that you use to call them. So let's say you have an Alexa enabled thermostat and and Amazon Echo dot nearby and they are both called Alexa. It happens that every time you call Alexa, both your thermostat and Echo will respond and operate at the same time.

Perfect for what we need it for. Bought two for each sons room and great overall. We play nighttime music for bed time and also they have learned to ask for weather. Price is great and can control all at once.

Part of the Amazon Alexa family. It's small and has decent sound for a small room. It does need to be plugged into an outlet in order to work.

The price-quality ratio is very good and the product, due to its size, is easy to use and place anywhere in the house.
