My family absolutely loves the convenience and the amount of variety of information you can get from the echo dot. In addition, it takes up very little space and has a great sound.

Answers questions and helps to keep me hands free when i need an answer quickly.

Had this for about a month now so I feel like I can give an honest review. Like most people say it puts out good sound. I have found myself using it for white noise at night (rainfall, rain forrest noise). I use it for local info weather for cast temperature. It works well withoit having to repeat myself. I use it to set timers and reminders, that's about it all by itself. Now if you have Alexa devices like I use ecobee thermostat and it's great turning it up or down when I'm downstairs without having to actually go to the thermostat. My next purchase will be a Phillips HUE hub to control the lights. I will say I have both Google and Alexa and I find myself perffering to say Alexa rather than hey Google. Seems more of an assistant saying Alexa

Great product, easy to use. Speaker is much better than what you might expect for something so small, not to mention you can connect third party speakers if you desire. Ended up purchasing another one for another room.

Easy way to find information or play music. Adapts to other products which lets you control with your voice which is pretty cool

Choosing an environment is not an obvious decision as both Alexa's and Google's devices have it's pros and cons. Alexa is better for smart home automation thanks to the routines and flexibility, but Google is much better for entertainment. While Google can cast to a Chromecast from Netflix, Youtube and others, Alexa can't. Google can also play music from Youtube music (in case you have Youtube Premium or Youtube Music) which Alexa doesn't do. The internet search is also much better in Google devices. The main cons in Google devices are that for home automation you usually need 3rd party apps, such as IFTT, which require a subscription to work.

Bought this as a present for my Mom. She loves it! She uses it all the time to listen to music. Great size, small so it fits anywhere. Sound is pretty good for such a small speaker.

Hey there! I recently picked up the Alexa Echo Dot and I'm loving it. Incredibly useful. It's a compact smart speaker that's great for controlling my smart home devices and getting quick info like the weather forecast. The voice recognition is super accurate and it's super convenient to use. The sound quality is fine, but it's not going to blow you away if you're a serious music listener. All in all, it's a solid choice for anyone looking to add voice control to their home.

Works as it should. Plays music. Great to control smart home and great when you’re on the go and have to ask a simple question. Perfect for what me and my family needed it for.

It was easy to set up and works great. The sound quality was very good for its size, and it syncs with a lot of my smart home devices. Well worth it.

We absolutely love it echo dot. It's been out first ever Alexa device and it's been super easy to use and so much fun. My three year old even tells it different songs to play and it understands him.

I love this new 3rd generation echo dot. Speaker sounds great and I can connect other speakers to it too. I get to choose name for device and location for device as well. I have 3 of them now. Very helpful reminders.

This is a great, very small size speaker with Alexa, that was easy to set-up and operate. I have it hooked up to several of my devices and love it!

These new and improved Eco Dot (3rd. Gen) are beefier then the previous version. Better sound all around and better cosmetically! Grab one when its on sale at BestBuy and save some $$$$.

We gave our son this Dot for his room. It is great -- he uses it for an alarm, to play music and for Alexa to help him with homework. I like to ring his room from downstairs - works like an intercom system with ours.

Fun with Alexa. Didn’t think I was going to have as much entertainment with Alexa. I get my news, weather and best of all a joke every day. Real simple to set up and one of the other things I like the most about it is being able to play just about any music that I wish. It was definitely worth it. I would encourage anybody to give it a try.

I love this thing and use it all the time to play music, and to set alarms & timers. I have used it every day since I got it. I liked it so much I bought several more for Christmas gifts for my family and girlfriend.

All of the Amazon Alexa products have worked wonderfully. I was skeptical about the DOT, however the speaker is actually much better than I expected. Happy with this as a bedside speaker and alarm.

I recently aquiered a dot and in am so happy I did. I love the ease of use and sound quality from this littlen speaker. I wish it could access YouTube Music but it is great for in the shower...
