This 3rd Gen Alexa Dot has drastically improved since the 1st Gen of which I own. The speaker is much louder and better quality. Setup is straightforward and took less than 5 minutes. Highly recommend.

We have 2 echo dots in our home and they are great. We mostly use them to play music, set alarms, ask for temperature updates, check time, and call to them from the app. It is a great product.

Slightly larger unit versus v2, but with much improved speakers/audio. I am not an audiophile, and have used both echo and echo dot. For the price, echo dot is fine for my use in both bedrooms and living rooms.

Prefer these then all the “new bigger “ Alexa’s their making. I tried the small screen one and the tall bigger one and medium sized one, and I solely use them for Music and these small echo dots have the best sounding about of them All!! I paid over $100 for the bigger one and $50-60 for the medium oval one and tossed them away and replaced them with these echo dots.. got 2 on half off during dec 2022 but now I need 1 more so that will be 4 total in my small home lol..

This Echo is a dream come true. It plays music, answer my questions and basically keep me company whenever i am alone.

The 3rd generation echo dot is an excellent addition to the other Echo's around the house. It's small and can easily hide under a TV on a stand. It also has a nice sound coming from this compact speaker.

I use my Alexa at work as a portable speaker to play music (so I don't use it for the myriad of other things/features it offers). It is more than adequate for my needs. I like the small size.

Alexa is so helpful I have mine connected to my Phillips hue lights and my nest thermostat. I can control everything. She tells great stories appreciates when you say please and thank you. Just a great lady ;)

Its really easy to used, we love it is not to big and we can put it anywhere on the house so happy woth our purchase.

Great product. I have bought one for my whole family. My Grandma loves it. The product can make phone call, turn off lights, turns smart tv off and on, plays music. Pretty cool.

Easy way to find information or play music. Adapts to other products which lets you control with your voice which is pretty cool

I brought this for my mother I had to get her out of the stone ages. After a little coaching she got the hang of it and she loved it so much. My mother since passed but now my father uses it and he's lost without it. Alexa went off line after a power outage and he lives in Texas and I live in Chicago. My father doesn't know how to set it back up so he'll have to wait till I can get back there to set it up again. We love it thank you to Amazon for a great product and thank you best buy for selling them in your stores. I would recommend to anyone whom loves technology.

The new echo dot just keeps getting better. Great sound and improved functionality. Great buy for the price to start any smart home. Plus a great buy to add music to every room without wiring the entire house.

The Echo Dot is a great product. I use it mostly to turn my light on and off in my room. I have used it to listen to music and as an alam clock.

i have almost every alexa and i have to say if you are looking for something small and sleek and loud with good bass and sound this is the alexa for you

I primarily use this as a bluetooth speaker for music with the occasional command to see what the weather will be today. Alexa is very responsive, and the quality of the sound is surprisingly good. Plus I think the design is pretty sleek. If you can get this on sale like I did (Amazon products go on huge sales a lot), you will not be disappointed.

I love my echo dot, I use it to listen to music ask general questions, control other smart devices, play music, make phone calls, it’s amazing what that little thing can do!

these newer dots are good fir putting around the house like i have done. i have one in the rooms i spend the most time in. it controls several lights for us and is necessary in our iot hone.

My elderly mother absolutely had to have one for Christmas. I got it for her, set it up, and got it going without a hitch. It works really well and the music sounds great out of it. I linked several skills for Mom at her request such as the InTouch Devotional program and Pandora very easily. I really have no complaints. My elderly mother; however, feels differently. This is not the Echo Dot's fault. Mom just doesn't understand how Alexa works and they have a stormy relationship. She thinks Alexa doesn't listen, but Alexa does. She thinks Alexa doesn't answer correctly, but Alexa tries as hard as it can to decipher what Mom is trying to say. Mom doesn't understand that a music subscription is needed for Alexa to play the music she wants right away. I warned Mom about all of this, but she thought she and Alexa would live well together. They do not. Over the last year, Alexa has been moved slowly more and more out of the way. The last time I was at Mom's house, Alexa had disappeared. At least Alexa has found peace. Bottom line, if one is not internet savvy, they will not much enjoy the Echo Dot. If they know how the internet works, they will enjoy it.

I glad I finally purchased this device. It’s been interesting and somewhat enjoyable to use voice for most everything. So far I’m pleased and impressed that this small device can do so much.
