The 3rd Gen Echo Dot provides much better sound quality than my 1st Gen Dot. Earlier versions did not have the quality of sound or volume as this 3rd Gen does. Glad I updated,

I have a few Echo Dot's in my house. All of them were easy to setup and work great. It is cool to play music throughout the house on all the echo dot's.

These little gadgets have been amazing. Set them up in all of our bedrooms and living spaces. Helps avoid yelling throughout the house because we use drop in and announcements to talk to each other. The multi room music groups help keep the volume down upstairs when I’m cleaning because I can hear the same music synced in each room as I walk between them. Got my mom a couple and set up so if we can’t reach her we can drop in and make sure she’s okay without her needing to be able to reach a phone. I also gave one to my special needs niece and it helps keep her busy listening to music instead of waking my sister up at 4 am. Just be sure to disable the calling feature and also set so you can’t order things from it. Quality of the sound is as expected for this type of device, size, and price. The speaker isn’t as great as I’d like. And it’s not portable or rechargeable in the fact that is always has to be plugged in. Those last items are the only reason I give it a 4.

This speaker is not a party at home speaker. After volume 5 it starts to go flat on bass. It’s a good speaker to have spread around the house to give quick commands.

I was blown away on how loud and clear this little speaker is. Of course you won’t get deep bass, but it’s still nice and is able to pick up your voice from across the room.

we have the Alexa 1st generation which works great and purchased this one to be on other room, mostly for music and timers; great sound quality, easy to set up if you already have the app.

I have a couple of the 2nd gen echo dots. The sound quality on these are much better than the 2nd gen. The dot itself is great. It integrated into my wink hub and I can control my entire smart home line of products with it. It also integrates into your calendar so it can tell you what is planned for the day. You can purchase items from amazon on it, order pizza, and even an uber. You also can set it up to work as an alarm clock as well. If you have multiple echos, they work as an intercom system in your house. Overall a great product.

Love this small Alexa I put it in my guest bedroom so my guest can easily turn off lights and fan and listen to music.

Love the dot. It is loud and has very clear sound. I use the echo dot outside when using the BBQ and in the garage. It’s small and doesn’t take up space.

Much better than Gen 2. Used to upgrade and much more bass and gets louder. Very clear. Didn't think it would be much different but it is. Would recommend.

Instead of shouting "KIDS, DINNER IS READY", you only need to quietly say "Alexa, drop in the kids' room", and then talk at your normal voice :) That's only one of the things this Echo Dot can do. We've asked it to play music, and to play an interactive game (e.g. Who Wants to be a Millionaire) at dinner time. The kids use it to set reminders, as an alarm clock, check the weather, and to look up something on the internet... It is very useful. It can also order stuff for you on Amazon, but I have not used that function yet.

Works very well. Picks up voice from a good distance. Easy to connect and use. Sometimes it gets difficult for it to pick up voice while it's also producing audio.

Better sound than the original Dot. We use it on the patio for music and home automation. Looks better and is more solid than the original Dot. Works good .

She has played music, trivia games, gotten news off of it, weather and I'm sure there's much more she'll figure out. She was very pleased when She got this Christmas gift!!

Small but powerful my family loves this good for teens my daughter absolutely love it

I got this after I got an Echo Show for Christmas. I placed this in another room in my house. I love the sound when playing music, very easy to set up, quality is great.

Love that it’s easy to Set up and very Convenient. It’s amazing how a device so small can do so much and takes up little space. Definitely recommending to friends and family.

I love it! It plays all my music clearly. It can be heard all around my apartment. Its small so l can put it anywhere in my home. It was definitely worth it.

I already own the 1st and 2nd generations. So it’s only fitting that I buy the third generation. And the new sleek design and standard excellent working system, more than worth the money.

great handy tool for everyday use. I use i for basic daily things like adding reminders, having a grocery list and using it as a speaker. Everything i need is all in this one device
