    Came with an ugly white power cable for a black device. Looks weird. I have had each generation of these devices and this one is the worst so far. The mics barely work. The ambient volume adjustment is all over the place, sometimes the thing shouts in a quite room and whispers in a loud room. Not sure if mine is defective or this generation is just garbage.

    While set up is no different from any other Echo device, I found manipulating it more difficult. The controls on top can lead to tipping. Since it's a sphere, that means rolling. The light indicator is on the bottom, making it more difficult to see. Voice recognition is inconsistent, sometimes it seems to stop altogether requiring unplugging and restarting the device.

    I was really looking forward to having fun with Alexa but I've been unable to download the app so Alexa will not work. So I'm very disappointed that I can't get Alexa to work. I don't have a smart phone, I only have my computer, so why can't I download the app? Please let me know if you can email me the app so I can get Alexa to work. Thank you
