The setup was simple and completed in else than an hour. My Alexa app recognized it immediately and integrated both my Spotify and iHeart radio to my home network. The only drawback was that Amazon did not market this Echo Dot model in black.

Clock dot is the new standard

A digital clock addition to the echo dot was smart. Best of all, when you have a timer going, it by default only shows the countdown. This is perfect for the kitchen area. Only issue was I had to turn off the auto-brightness on the display as I wanted it set to a specific value. A simple perusing of the Alexa app for about 30 seconds got it figured out!

Christmas present from my wife.

Replaced an alarm clock from the 1970s, an Echo dot, and a dumb light bulb. The clock automatically dims and turns out my light with a simple, "Alexa, good night." Alarms are easy to set and sometimes her jokes in the morning could be classified as a pun. The alarm clock has a pleasant sound. She will also give you soothing noise to go to sleep.
