This is the second one that we have purchased and we plan on getting another. We absolutely love the Smart control and voice to light activation. The daily history is so fun to learn as we wake up in the morning with our Alexa, echo dot.

Frequent disconnection issues are often related to Wi-Fi connectivity or device settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps that should help:
Move your Echo Dot closer to your router: Walls and distance can weaken the Wi-Fi signal
Restart your router and Echo Dot: Unplug both devices for 30 seconds, then plug your router back in first, wait for it to fully restart, then plug in your Echo Dot
Check for interference: Other electronics, microwaves, or baby monitors can interfere with Wi-Fi signals
Forget and reconnect to Wi-Fi: In the Alexa app, go to Devices > Echo & Alexa > Your Echo Dot > Wi-Fi Network, and set up the connection fresh
Update your device: Ensure your Echo Dot has the latest software by checking Settings in the Alexa app
Switch to the 2.4GHz band: If your router has both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, try connecting to 2.4GHz as it has better range (though slightly slower speeds)

You ask her for travel time from A to B and she gives you a wacko response totally unrelated to your question. I have continuously given feedback, however nothing seems to come of it. I know it's not her, it's the idiots writing the code. I'll ask her to play music by XXX from Pandora and she'll play music by ZZZ from I ❤ radio. Geez get it right, OK?

My other larger style dot had much better sound as well as more volume. This distorts when turned up and does not have capability to go very loud. Wouldnt buy again/would have returned but i missed my window! :(

Posted .Hello lmksk! I am sorry to hear about your experience. The "larger style" device you are speaking of may be the full size Echo. That device is intended to be used for a more premium sound experience and fills larger rooms. The Dot is intended for smaller rooms or for night stands and does not have the same sound experience. You can improve this though by adding one more Echo Dot and pairing them together for stereo sound. This will give you a better experience than a lone Dot and may be a resolution for you to enjoy your Echo Dot as much as your full size Echo. You can always call Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 to troubleshoot further to see what else we can do to improve your experience. I hope this helps some and that you have a phenomenal day!

I was wrong. This one constantly pauses (great feature if not so sensitive to its own sound) plus I had to start over on my “liked” library. That shouldn’t be if saved through an account- at least you would think. Also one star on this review app. You cannot see text while reviewing. I mean get it together BB. It’s only 2023.
