This replaced the second gen echo dot which still works. But I need something louder and believe me this one is louder with a little more bass and is taller and perhaps slightly wider. Voice recognition is better. In Music is better than my previous one,I use it primarily to listen to podcasts. In sale is a must have!

Surprisingly good sound for the price. We use them at work so we’re ability to listen to a variety of music depending on who is in the room.

My son talked me into buying this product and although I was apprehensive, I love it. My son hooked this echo dot up to my light switch and my fan, and all I have to say without getting out of bed in the middle of the night is "Alexa turn the fan on or turn the light off" It is great.

Have many Dots throughout the house.. One function is to provide music on demand. Very easy setup.

I have/had the echo dot, (the hockey puck one) for years.... Where I'm not complaining at all about the one I had, I LOVE this one. The sound is astronomical. I live in a 36ftvCoach RV. Please keep in mind that you will not get the same results in mansions. Perhaps with speakers attached...

One of the Best purchases I have made at Best Buy. Looks greats in any room of the house and so easy to install.

Ease of use. Very helpful with Amazon orders, deliveries and Reminders. The alarms are great along with time/temp information. Love how I can control from phone and the sleep programs kick butt!!! Definitely worth the price. We have two and I intend on putting in more areas of the house.
