1. Proceed first with a restart of your Wi-Fi router by unplugging the power supply and waiting at least 30 seconds before plugging it back in.
2. Unplug the Echo Dot from its power source, wait 20 seconds, and then plug the device back in.
3. Check that the device is fully updated on software by going into the Alexa app.
4. Ensure that you don't have the device muted, which you can tell by the Mute button illuminating red on top of the device.

Hello Velavan! I am so sorry to hear that your Echo Dot is getting stuck. It may be requiring an update to help prevent bugs like this from occurring. You can check this by saying "Alexa, check for updates." If this does not fix the issue, then you can factory reset the device and reset it back up. You can do this by pressing and holding the Action button and Volume Down button simultaneously for 30 seconds or more until the yellow light begins flashing. It will take roughly a minute or two to come back up after factory reset. Once this is done, you can follow the setup instructions in your Alexa smartphone app to set it back up. If this doesn't help, then I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 for further troubleshooting.
