This did not work at all. I was very disappointed with my purchase because it did not work properly for me.

Posted .Hello Bille! Thank you so much for your review on your Echo Dot! While an Amazon membership is required to be able to setup this device, it does not require any subscriptions or added costs. An Amazon membership is free and easy to setup and is only used to register your device and allow you to log in to the Alexa smartphone app to be able to customize your Dot to your preferences. If they come up, try the following. * Check that your device has a strong internet connection.* If your device setup uses the Alexa app, check that you have the latest version of the app.* Restart your Echo device. Unplug it from power, wait 30 seconds, then plug it back in. If none of these steps help, or if you have problems registering the device, reset your Echo device to clear up most issues. For a relatively inexpensive speaker, it has sound to compete with other way more expensive speakers. If you want the weather, ask Alexa. If you want the volume upper a bit, ask Alexa for volume 5 (or whatever). I use it to stream my pandora music. I just connect it via Bluetooth. If you don’t want it to listen to your conversations just hit the button on top, and a little red light illuminates. It is still functional.

It telks me me every thing that i need to know in order to prepare for my day; like the current temperature and i was avle to connect it to my tv to tirn my tv on by voice command. Highly recommend

The speaker is so much better and since I shopped around I got it for 50% off. Great purchase with no regrets. I will be buying a couple of more as gifts.
