The other sporadically. It would unpair itself and I would have to initiate a startup again. I am hoping it's an anomaly and will correct itself eventually. Here's hoping.

When I finally did, and realized all the cool things it could do I went out and got six more , one for every room and the garage. Great for setting alarms, timers and reminders, playing selected music, answering questions and a ton of other cool things. Don't know how they do it, but they do it well. This last one was bought as a gift.

If you were expecting a device with a screen, you may have been looking for the Echo Show 5 or Echo Spot, which are Amazon's smart displays that combine a screen with speaker functionality.
I understand this wasn't what you needed, and discovering that after purchase is frustrating.
