Posted .Hello, Mike! I am sorry to hear about the issue you are having with your Echo Dot with Clock. I recommend ensuring you are using the power supply that came with your device. If you use the correct power supply, I recommend unplugging the device from power for thirty seconds and plugging it back in. If you continue to have issues, I recommend factory resetting the device and setting it back up. This can be completed by holding the action button on top of the device until you see the indicator light illuminating orange meaning the device is in setup mode. Posted .Hello EdithContreras! I wanted to thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback on your new Echo Dot. I would also like to give you just a few things you can use to take advantage of this device's features. You may receive or have already received a couple of emails from us after registering your device that explains a few things you can do with Alexa. There are a wide range of things that you can do and the list continues to expand with every update that we make to the device. Here are just a couple that I use mine for. One of my favorite things is to use it as a morning and night routine trigger. I have set up my Alexa to do a list of things when I say "Alexa, Good Morning" or "Alexa, Good Night". By saying "Alexa, Good Morning" she will turn on my living room light, set my thermostat to my desired temp for the day, disarm my Ring alarm system, tell me the weather for the day, give me my calendar items for the day, and tell me a random fun fact of the day. This all may seem too high tech to some and does require some smart home devices like my thermostat, alarm system, and light bulbs but it is very easy to set up in the Alexa smartphone app. Plus there are a number of suggestions in there and preset routines you can take advantage of as well. You can accomplish this by going to More in the bottom right corner of your Alexa smartphone app. Tap on Routines. Then go to Gallery. There you can find a whole list of preset Routines and they are even categorized for you to peruse. Once you try a few of those out, you can then try setting up your own Routine by tapping the Plus sign in the top right corner of Your Routines. There is a simple "When... this occurs" then "Alexa will..." process that allows you to make it as simple or complex as your would like. Another thing you can do with your Echo Dot and Alexa, is link it with your favorite music streaming service. The good news is that if you don't have one, you can always try Amazon Music! Once it is linked, you can simply say "Alexa, play music." and it will play music based on your listening habits. You can even just ask for specific songs or artists depending on if you have any music service subscriptions. The way you can link your music service is by again going to your Alexa smartphone app and tap More on the bottom right of the screen. Tap on Music and More. There it will ask you to select and login to your music service or give you the option to try Amazon Music. Follow the on screen prompts. Then you can ask her to play your favorites. Lastly, an easy one is that with this having a clock display, this is the best alarm clock you can have. There is no intense setup for this at all. You can easily set alarms or reminders with just your voice by saying "Alexa, wake me up tomorrow at 7AM". You can even say "Alexa, wake me up everyday at 7AM." I hope this gives you a few ideas of things you can try with your new Echo Dot. This is just scratching the surface too. There are so many things you can do when you start adding in smart home devices, additional Echo devices, and more. Thanks for your time and feedback and I hope you have a tremendous day!

Does not continuously scroll time and temperature.

It does not do this. You only see it for a few seconds if you ask Alexa what the temperature is. Otherwise it works okay if you ask it something. It does look like it will work with my Eero Mesh system but it's too close to one of the Eero devices to need to extend my wifi signal.

Wont connect to family plan

Bad business

Order a product, get it. Anything else having to do with Best Buy is a disaster. Poor communication, even worse execution.

Posted .Hello JeffV! I am sorry about the issues you are experiencing with the Echo Dot with Clock. It definitely seems like there may be a Wi-Fi issue here. To start, make sure that your Echo device is within 30 feet (or 10 meters) of your wireless router. Check that your Echo device is away from any devices that cause interference (such as microwaves, baby monitors, or other electronic devices). Unplug the power adapter from your Echo device for 3 seconds, then plug it back in. Make sure that you're using the included power adapter for your Echo device. If other devices are able to connect, check that you are using the correct Wi-Fi password. You can also try turning off some of your other devices temporarily to reduce interference and see if that affects your Echo device's ability to connect. If you have several devices connected to your Wi-Fi network, turn some of them off temporarily. That way you can check if multiple connected devices are impacting your Echo device's ability to connect. Check if your router has separate network names (also called SSID) for the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. If you have separate network names, try moving your device from one network to the other. For example, if your router has both "MyHome-2.4" and "MyHome-5" wireless networks. Disconnect from the network that you’re using (MyHome-2.4) and try to connect to the other one (MyHome-5). If your Wi-Fi password recently changed, Update the Wi-Fi Settings for Your Echo Device or Update the Wi-Fi Settings on Your Echo Show. If your device is still having intermittent connection issues, Reset Your Echo Device.
