Great device

We also have a google nest audio, on the "smart" level, google seems to be able to do more in general for what we need. It recognize multiple languages while Echo speaks English only, but the downside is that we cannot set up Amazon subscriptions with google, so we got three months of Amazon music for free with this purchase, but couldn't listen to any Amazon music with it. But the Echo is a great tool, if your subscriptions are with Amazon. There is one major downside, the Echo app doesn't work at all, it freezes most of the time. So it's a great device, just depends on personal needs.

Very hit and miss on getting it to connect to anything. The first time I got it working with my nanoleaf Christmas tree lights it seemed to happen at random (after dozens of tries of saying try again later). This last time I had to deregister it and then register it again, and then it seemed to work (but still won't show which network it is connected to). Also by re-registering it, I could now assign it to a music group which I had not been able to do originally. Very iffy device. I would not recommend it but I'm still using it for now

Its really awesome being able to just ask alexa to play music or to ask random questions and have it answered immediately. I also have it linked to my tesla so it can start my car or AC with a simple vouce commsnd!
