Great for our movie theatre room. Blends in with the black wall. The only issue is they send you a white cord for a black unit. So even if you get the black wall mount, you still get a white chord.

I love alexas and wanted one in the bathroom to play music. It looks great and sounds good too. I like the different looks vs the traditional one

In fairness I have to say that I received this 1st gen Echo Dot as part of a Best Buy TV purchase - I did NOT purchase the Dot outright - basically it was a free thing to me. Having said that I thought I might use it via Bluetooth as an external speaker for the TV. I really don't have a use for the Alexa voice control function thats offered with the Dot. Plan on having to download and install the Alexa app to "install" this Dot to your TV. That seems to be necessary even if all you want is the Bluetooth speaker function. The sound quality is OK - not super but certainly better than the stock speaker setup on the small flatscreen FireTV I just purchased. The small downward facing speakers in the TV function but the sound quality isn't the best (especially if you are older like me and are having some hearing issues). This Dot improved the sound some..... Are there better Bluetooth speaker solutions -- ABSOLUTELY!!! But, as noted in the first part of this review the Dot was basically FREE to me and who doesn't like free.

Bought this for my mom's kitchen, it's small but mighty. I wouldn't recommend it if you like to listen music at a high volume, but other than that it's a great smart speaker.

For the price this a great product, I got two of them and took them to Colombia to give them as gifts, they loved it, it works fantastic, the sound is good, well more than good, their sides makes them perfect to carry them everywhere, highly recommend.

I love the Echo Dot. It is synced up to my tv and phone which is incredibly helpful. It is so helpful for an alarm and to listen to music while I clean. It has great sound quality and is very loud!

Perfect music player using Amazon Music. Really enjoying this device in the kitchen, just tell Alexa what music you want and it’s so convenient and the music sounds really good coming from such a small device.

Basically this guy does what is advertised. It is a little less expensive than the Echo Dot, and for my purposes does not have worse sound. It cannot handle volumes as high as the dot can, but quite frankly if you are wanting a speaker that plays at higher volumes you should be looking at the full fledged Echo speaker, and skip both the dot and pop completely.
