Great little speaker. Use it out by the pool. Great sound for such a small speaker.

The shape is currently different then the regular 39.99 dollar alexia that has an oval shape but I guess with this shape the sound echos more I couldn't really tell the difference but what I could tell is that this looks much cooler to place onto a desk unlike a regular alexia which yes, you can hang on the wall or even put on a desk but with this ovel looking thing some people might find it unattractive.

Direct sound is excellent. Response time is also very quick, as with any Amazon products

Got this as an extra gift but it helped to replace the one we previously had in our kitchen. Although it was free I would recommend getting one especially if you have Amazon prime

Works well enough for a small speaker. We primarily use it to listen to audiobooks or podcasts while cooking/cleaning in the kitchen. The set took some trial and error but overall it works well for our purposes. We played with the Alexa function for a while (for the novelty) but prefer not to use it that way. No issues during the day or so that we tried it out - it's just not appealing to us.
