You can open one of the two browsers and get your recipe fine. The problem is that it goes into sleep mode and you have to request going back to the browser all the time loosing your place on the page. It does have a sleep setting. Turning it off does nothing.

Posted .Hello GlendaP! I am terribly sorry that your sound just randomly turned off on your Show 10. This is not a typical expectation of this device for sure. There are a couple of troubleshooting steps that I would recommend. You could check to see if you have any updates that are stuck or needing pushed through. You can do this by swiping down from the top and navigating to Settings>Device Options>Check for Software Updates(or Install Update or Download Update if one is pending). This will ensure you have the latest software update that has addressed any bugs you may be experiencing. If this does not resolve it, you can navigate to the same screen and tap Factory Reset to reset the device to the beginning settings and allow you to reset it back up from the beginning. If neither of these resolve your issues, I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 for further assistance. The Alexa app is required for set up along with a strong Wifi connection and password. The Echo Show 10 is compatible with both Android and Apple products, as this has nothing to do with why the device would or would not work. Please call us as we are happy to assist.

I don’t know why because my Apple FaceTime works perfectly. This does not work , it freezes it stutters. The camera is on the side therefore you can never stand in front of it and be in the center of the picture.

I got it mainly to watch my house but that feature does not work at all. The screen freezes and it rotates even after I put settings not to turn with me. I have had this for 24 hours and I just don't like it. Hopefully Amazon will do better in the future. This will be going back to best buy. Totally not woth that kind of money at this time.
