Just a lot of little things that they just didn't spend any real resources to make sure this was polished and ready for production. Wait until the make this better this one really is not worth the money.

Here are some troubleshooting steps that may help resolve remote functionality issues: check that the batteries are properly installed and have sufficient charge, try replacing the batteries with new ones, ensure the remote is within 10 feet of the Echo Show 15 with no obstructions, restart the Echo Show 15 by unplugging it for 30 seconds, and try pairing the remote by pressing and holding the Home button for 10 seconds until the pairing screen appears on the display. If these steps don't resolve the issue, the remote may be defective and you may need a replacement. I hope this information helps get the remote working so your mom can enjoy her gift. Thank you!
