I really enjoy having the Echo Show on my home office desk. I glance at the screen many times during the day to get the latest headlines, tips and tricks. It’s faster and easier to answer my Ring doorbell than my phone and I can control the lights and fan in my home office. I do wish Google and Amazon would work things out so that we could view YouTube on the device.

Righht off the bat, I've used both Google Home and Alexa. Google is just better at recognizing your voice and understanding your commands, in whichever grammatical syntnax I use. I also find that it recognizes any voice much more quickly while playing music. Google is also better with accents, as some of my family members have accents. Google also is much better at finding random information from the web. Now, the positives. The Alexa is getting better all the time. Amazon is constantly updating. This latest update for the Show is really nice. News stories, calendar info, and Amazon delivery info scroll across the screen in a more fluid manner than before. I especially like the background photos that go with the news stories. One thing Alexa is better at than Google Home is connecting with Smart Home devices. Alexa has a been around longer and just has a longer list of compatible devices. I find that manufacturers come out with skills faster for Alexa than Google Home and sometimes work more consistently with Alexa (i.e. Netgear cameras). Alexa also seems to have more useful skills compared to Google Home Actions (that's what Google calls their skills). Google is catching up there also. Now, using a smart display, vs smart speaker, is nice for watching the news, shopping on Amazon, and streaming your home cameras. Not many of the other skills use the display yet. I rather have the screen than not have it because I use the three aforementioned skills very often. I'd probably purchase the new Show smart display because it's better in every way but this 7" display is still very good. It has Dolby audio and allows to stream Amazon as well.

First saw product at a family members house. The kids loved it. I purchased it for xmas!

Finally decided to try Alexa. Lights, heating, doors, etc... everything is homekit compatible in my house. But this one was too tempting! What a great device. Alexa is years ahead of Siri, great system to have by your bed, and it also controls most of my devices...

I have all the echo products in this by far is the best it does everything . I love it!

Love moving around and talking to family/friends. Sound comes through clearly. Love it

I didn't think I needed Alexa to have a screen, but now I'm so glad we got this. When I ask to see my grocery list, it pops up on the screen. Also can do video calls from it. Really like our Alexa and the dots...we have them in almost every room of the house now.

The echo show is a great accessory to any house . It has a great picture on it and great sound . It’s simple to use . My wife uses it for recipes when cooking and making grocery lists . Also listens to music with crisp sound. Can ask Alexa pretty much anything .

The Echo Show's screen is a big advantage during configuration. It also is a great feature for video calling, monitoring security cameras, or a doorbell camera. I've had screen failure issues with one of these. Amazon will replace it if it is in warranty (12 months). The first generation model is heavily discounted since they released gen 2.

Speakers are solid if you don't need deafening sound levels, the screen is a good size, and Alexa is responsive about 90% of the time. Enjoy using it for music, daily news briefings, current weather, as well as shopping and cooking recipes.

I love the music in the kitchen and with the screen videos for recipes are just a ask away. I all ready have been use the all recipes app, so this fits well. I even added arlo so I can call out and see camera if needed for the front door, etc. nice additon

Easy to set up and use. Useful and fun. The videos make things easy to understand.

A great echo product that is extremely useful to everyday things like video chat.

We have it in the kitchen next to our dinner table. Plays everything on Amazon Fire TV (with our Prime membership), so we use it to watch shows, cartoons while the kids eat, or play music during dinner. Video calling works great as well. It's a fun gadget.

The pictures on the show are wonderful. It's like having my grandson in the room.
