I was looking to replace our bedroom alarm. The thought of waking up to a playlist sounded good. The advanced functions for an alarm just aren’t available on this device. I did some research and watch some reviews, but simple things like turning off the alarm without canceling it before the alarm goes off —- just isn’t there. Typical functions that an Amazon device is good for, no problem. But even the display at night when it goes into do not disturb mode is impossible to read. It just doesn’t work.

Amazon has blocked YouTube on the Echo show making it pretty much useless. Also they claim it works with Nest. Look elsewhere or wait for something better!!

I love Alexa enabled products. My Spot lead me to purchase this. Aside from an intermittent screen flicker (well documented issue) it works great. I suspect it is related to the light sensor. Wonder if Gen2 has the same issue

It was a bit more involved getting set up but thereafter the function is simply talking to Alexia. The plug adapter to turn on and off lights TV is useful and certainly worth having.

I bought this for the ability to view my nest cameras. I really enjoy the news headlines that come across the screen and the calander notifications but something is lacking. It’s just not a polished system and needs a bigger screen.

We have had this device a little over a year and it is already starting to malfunction. We have to unplug it and plug it back in weekly. The sound is also starting to stutter at times.

I like the features the echo show has, however, she recognizes a command one minute and then doesn’t the next on the same command. I’m going to upgrade to the 2nd gen version as soon as it is restocked.

It’s okay. I’m still trying to figure out which ecosystem I want to live in. Compared to google home hub, this display is lacking. I find that I actually use the screen a lot less vs the google home

So I got this at a good deal thinking it would perform as the other Alexa/amazon items but no everything was fine but the quality of the speakers completely killed it for me. Absolutely terrible

The light on the screen often stays on when not in use and uses up electricity, also Alexa doesn't always hear or distinguish commands and it can get frustrating to get her to do things.

This is our second day me. We had to get a replacement because the first one stopped working and now this one is making strange noises and humming etc....

Not sure how else to put this, but Alexa is dumb. The Alexa AI lags far behind the Google assistant. The sound is decent for a small speaker.

The echo show is cool, but is feels a little too big for what it does. I could see it being really cool in a couple of design generations, but I guess it has to start somewhere.

I was very excited to bring this home. Then I found that if I wanted it to function I had the memorize too many commands and had to take it back.

The device works well mechanically, however, the software needs a lot of work. Half of my commands are not understood and I have cameras linked up to it that’s rarely recognized.

This ia my second echo show. The first one had screen issues. Now my second one after a couple years is also going out. Would not buy again.

I like the Alexa a lot. However if you don’t have amazon prime it is much more limited in what music it can play.

Got this for my mother. Not sure she uses it. I don't know if it is the device or my mother. I am thinking it probably is my mother.

Bought the echo show in June 2018 and the screen started flickering this weekend Aug 14 2018. I have now idea what the headaches will be to get it fixed.

Great idea they just need to work out all the bugs. Returned this item for the updated version
