Got these for myself and two relatives to be able to video chat. Not really easy to use for that feature. Try the Facebook portal instead

It’s good for what it is. A process to set up smart home features or to use Alexa’s skills. Dosent support YouTube either anymore which is a bummer.

I purchased 4 echo show gen 1 to give out as xmas presents. One was given back to me as it would not power up. Others were working great.

Wanted to be able to control smart home also be able to video call me family. After months I can barely deal with it as an over priced alarm clock. With no answer the device pops and pops after a command or during music. Was told it would corrected in an update. Still it pops and I don’t believe it will ever be right it is really sad I bought 2 Echo shows. Amazon should be ashamed....

Works great as an Alexa device and viewing arlo cameras but disappointed it won't connect to Sony XB60 bluetooth speakers

Realized that I dont really need something a phone can do. It's a nice size and all but the newer model looks much better

Nice device. Good to enable drop in conversations. Some flash briefings. But overall still a little limited in effective use of video

Love this echo smart speaker with Alexa. Love the FaceTime that you can do with family far away.

bought this for my parents for Christmas so that we could video call each other and they are not tech savvy at all. they have still yet to figure out how to get this work and I went home to visit last week and tried pulled up the manuals and could not figure out for the life of me how to get it to work either

I bought this when you were able to watch youtube but google has since took that away so dont know if I would recommend.

Works decent but smaller screen than the Show 2. Had to add external speaker since sound quality was just ok.

Really good product needs to get YOUTUBE back without it this really isnt a great product with it takes it to the next level!

This is expensive. You can get Lenovo google assistant for 150 which has many features. Performance is not bad,

Hearing about it at work sounded like something I would like. Ended up not what I wanted so returned it hassle free

We ended up returning this 1st gen echo show for a 2nd gen. 2nd gen is much better.

Great device. A little bulkier than the new ones but it serves it purpose of spying on me.

She can not answer or find just about anything that I ask her. Also tells you stuff way different then you had asked. But most of the times she does play music for me. Except for a while I had asked to play 90's rock n roll and she only played Elvis

Does a lot of cool things but has been an absolute pain in the butt using spotify through this device

Bought this as a gift. It died and we received a replacement. That one does too. When it was working, it had really good functionality. There was one issue, when/if my WiFi goes down, the devise does not connect back automatically. We upgraded to the newest version and we have not had any issues with that one.

Use to contact and manage elder mother but it does not have night vision which we would really like.
