The second generation show is a winner. Way larger screen and higher resolution than gen 1 and the bass response of the speakers make the sound way better too. At original startup it ran a software update and said it would restart twice. I didn't stand and watch it so I don't know if the second reboot happened, but there were serious issues with the device, mostly sound related. I was figuring it was a bad one and was going to call support expecting to return it, but decided to reboot it instead and that fixed everything.

This is a a great upgrade from the 1st gen Echo Show. The screen is bigger and brighter and the audio is miles better. The aesthetics are also much better as it doesn’t look like a mini rear projection television anymore. I took off one star because the YouTube integration isn’t great, it launches a browser and you have to tap your way through. I wish Amazon and Google would settle their differences so that we could get an actual YouTube skill on the Echo Show. As it stands it’s not horrible just requires too much touch interaction.

This is an amazing item, very easy set up, and I say that from a perspective that I am not tech savvy by any means. I very easily added on lights and even a ceiling fan. The sound quality is also worth mentioning, in short I absolutely love this product and highly recommend it.

It was very easy to set up & install. Nice screen size & good speaker. It is on the heavy side, so be sure it won't get knocked off.

Only have had this for a short time and it was very easy for even me. I had it setup and ready to use right away. I was talking to my daughter and grandkids 1,500 miles away with both stable video and audio within an hour. Better than any other communication method I've used before.

I already have three 1st generation echo show devices, but loved the bigger screen on the 2nd generation. I bought two! The sound is improved and the screen is awesome. It also has the Zigbee hub built in so you can connect compatible devices like the Phillips hue bulbs without additional equipment. I highly recommend this product!!!

I purchased the Echo Show 1 this year in the beginning of the year and i have had a lot of problems with the screen. The second generation has caused me no problems thus far and the screen size is so much nicer especially for uses with the Ring cameras. It is nice to see a bigger clear image of the cameras around the house.

I am new to smart home products so I didn’t know what to expect the echo show. I must say that I am impressed with the way this device works as well as integrates with other smart products such as the echo dot, Ring Alarm and Hue lighting. Very easy to set up and communicate with other smart home products. Highly recommend.

I use this in my kitchen with the small one's around the house. Alexa has changed our household and we ask her to do everything in our smart home. The screen on this one is nice and big and very clear. The speakers are great as well, we use it when people come over and we are intertaining.

So I’m liking the Alexa show more than I thought I would. I originally bought it on super sale when Best Buy was mirroring amazon prime day. I got the Alexa Show. Echo Dot 3rd edition, and a color Hue lightbulb for 159$ That’s a great sale, making the Show about a hundred bucks. I figured I could take chance at that low price. It worked out very well. First off is the sound quality. I’m pleasantly surprised by its solid sound. Particularly at low levels. Many devices sound terrible at volume 1 or 2. But since this type of device is/can be used at night (I play music with auto shut off at bedtime) it really good for this. You don’t loose base or voices. The screen is bright (but dimable). It’s a great access point for all things amazon. The voice recognition is excellent. I’m very happy I added this to my collection.

I really like the Echo Show. I have the first generation show, and now I bought this one, 2nd Gen. Many great features, like being able to watch movies and shows on it just by asking. Also, it has the Hue hub built in, so it gives you lots of smart home lighting and other control options with compatible devices.

This is used for quick information requests in my kitchen. I’m able to access recipe info and videos on the fly. I can do video calls from spouse and monitor ring cameras on security system. It make access to info, people, and security surveillance easy and quick.

The Amazon Echo Show 2nd Generation is everything I had hoped for. The screen is the perfect size & the sound has been improved over the earlier version. I use my new "assistant" often for listening to music, looking up recipes, setting reminders & alarms, etc . I don't know what I would do without Alexa!!

The Echo Show 2nd Gen is a fantastic device. It's great for music or interaction in the morning, video-chatting with family and answering those simple little questions that come up in life. I like it so much, I bought a second one for the kitchen and other Echo devices for the rest of the family!

The Echo show is very close to being an excellent device if it allowed for more third-party apps like Netflix, Disney Plus but on its own, an incredible screen and bombastic sound which makes it perfect if you enjoy listening to music loudly and reading the lyrics for karaoke purposes.

Bought this for my 85 year old dad who has macular degeneration, therefore impaired eyesight. The “Alexa what am I holding function” seems to still be in its early stages, but has potential to be extremely helpful. We synced with his TV which helps him quite a bit. He can tell Alexa to turn on ESPN, ABC, etc. This has the potential to be extremely helpful for him, but would love to see them improve the “what am I holding” experience.

Got this to use as a master hub in my kitchen. From my kitchen I can watch some shows and, at bet time tell Alexa to turn on my bedroom light. Adding more home security items in the future. Love the fact I can listen to music without commercials

Never thought I’d utilize this device very much, really great little device that you can link to Pandora, Ring doorbell, Nest, etc and use voice commands to control and ask questions, video calls with other Echo speakers (I.e. drop in). Feature list keeps growing every day. Get one, you won’t regret it!

Having had every generation of Alexa I would have to say this one is the so far. Easy set up, built in hub and terrific sound quality. She easily picks up my voice even at low levels and performs commands as requested. Being able to see recipes with ingredients and how to video makes this my favorite.

I bought this for my husband who is 62. He doesn’t even send texts, but I know he needed an alarm clock and was going to have shoulder surgery in January after Christmas. We connected this to Alexa and a free light bulb was put in two lamps he uses. It works perfectly. He didn’t have to reach up to cut the lamp on and off and hurt his shoulder. He just told Alexa to cut on the lamp with his voice and it works! I wish the screen would let you watch tv! It will connect to your iPhone pictures, it has a few screen savers it will flash all day if you want it to. It shows the weather if you like. You can ask it about your calendar, but it is somewhat limited with this nice fancy screen. It pulls up recipes and pictures too. It will beep and tell you an Amazon package is being delivered and warn you if there is bad weather coming. It’s a good product, but needs to develop more. It has more potential.
