I like that the screen is touch screen so I can change whatever without using my phone. The timer alarms are not working for some reason, but it may be user error since I am pretty tech challenged.

I am very pleased with them and their capabilities. I just wish the time would display continuously in the large font. Overall great device!

If you have trouble sleeping I recommend the ambient visions app you can fall asleep to a fireplace with sound or music and there are so many more choices.

Alexa isn't the best at answering questions but turning on and off lights and TV and viewing security cameras is definitely top notch!!

I haven't been able to use it because it required an email address. I'm not even sure what it does, because I couldn't get past the part where they asked for email. It wouldn't start without an email address, so I never even got to try it. They should let you use these things, and Roku's, which I also had a problem with, without email. Maybe I'll try it in the future and update, but, for now, it's 1 star. Again, should be able to use without email address.

You need an Amazon account to use Alexa and set up your Echo Show 5 if you don't already have one. The Amazon account is free and you do NOT need a prime membership to do so. Once you create a free Amazon account or if you already have one, follow these steps to set up your Echo Show 5. Follow the on-screen prompts to: 1. Select a language. 2. Connect to your Wi-Fi network. 3. Log into your Amazon account. 4. Confirm your time zone. 5. Confirm your address. 6. Confirm the location of your device. 7. Choose a name for your device. 8. Choose a wallpaper for your device. 9. Follow the on-screen steps to review your available offers. When you see the home screen with rotating pages, your device is ready to use. The reason you need to use an email through an Amazon account is to access the features this device gives you. Some examples are: Set alarms and timers, check your calendar or the news, make video calls with the 2 MP camera, and stream music or shows - all with your voice. Paired with compatible light bulbs, thermostats, TVs and more, Echo Show 5 lets you control your smart home using your voice or the interactive display. It's really a glorified echo dot and is constantly glitching and have to reboot it. The angle of the base makes the camera some what useless because it is always point up.

If I’m in kitchen cooking and following recipes it be nice to see more screen. But otherwise it is Great to have.

I wish we can also turn on/off the ring floodlights from the live video feed for the ring outdoor floodlights we have.

Make sure you're using the power adapter that was included with your device.
Make sure you have an active internet connection.
Check that your device isn't muted. The light indicator is red when your device is muted.
For devices without a screen: press the Action button to see if your Echo device responds.
To make sure that Alexa hears you, move your device away from walls, other speakers, or background noise.
Speak naturally and clearly.
Rephrase your question or make it more specific. For example, there are many cities around the world called "Paris." If you want to know the weather in Paris, France, say, "What's the weather like in Paris, France?"
Try saying, "Did you hear me?"

I get recipes, time, weather, and music. Theres also apps you can use as well. I also love the color too! Everyone should get one!

Every where I set it in my living room the camera kept facing towards the ceiling. Maybe I haven’t leveled how yet but touch screen on mine is rough
