It’s a Alexa, it likes to comment out of the blue and we love to fight with it, the video screen is nice for a small space, works as expected

Every year my job has a charismas party. Year in year out majority of the gifts are alcohol gifts. Just so happens that I know that there are people that actually like gifts other than alcohol. I bought this as well as google nest as two gifts and this one was clearly winner.. In my home I use amazon products as I have a couple of echo's in almost every room that counts. Every Echo I owned has been great.

Ever since their launch, I'd been hesitant to purchase any sort of home digital assistant product whether it was made by Amazon, Apple, or Google as I didn't want a device that was always "ON" and listening for a verbal command. Well, after years of not being interested in the any such product, I decided to dip my toe in the water and purchase an Amazon Echo Show 5. I didn't buy it so I could ask Alexa for help with any tasks but more so for the digital picture frame, clock, calendar, outside temperature reading features in a compact form that could sit above my computer keyboard. I found out that I can wake up my Echo Show to help me with a task but, unless I use the customizable wake up word, that my Echo Show is perfectly happy to ignore any sounds it may otherwise hear in the background. While I don't think I'll be expanding my usage of Amazon Alexa products anytime soon, my Echo Show 5 does everything that I wanted it to and was priced reasonably when I picked one up at Best Buy on sale.

I bought this after I bought the echo show 10.I wanted another show that I could take to different rooms,I like the show ten much better but the show 5 is good, good sound,good choices to play and the price is great. I recommend this item.Who ever invented the echo show is a genius I am using these constantly.
