I have always used the Google home but got this for parents and they like it.

When I tell her to stop playing music she'll stop for a second and then she continues but before that I had no issues so I might have to just install everything. Overall it is great to be able to ask Alexa questions when needed and some of her responses are way better than using Google.

I will not play video songs but 1g, 2g can... I got it for 54USD.... But audio clarity is more than expectation.. I will recommend to go for echo 8 instead of 5

Decent speaker, but that's it

Well, after hours of trying to set this up and troubleshooting, I never got it to work consistently. It would work 1 minute and then stop working the next, and now I'm at the point where it doesn't work at all. I now have this somewhat pricey device that I use as a speaker to listen to music on but nothing else. Also, this device shows you ads and you can't turn it off. Really? I'm spending money on a device that I can't disable ads on? Lastly, the device itself is very flaky. At one point, I looked at it and it actually had the wrong time on it. Seriously, a smart device that doesn't know what time it is? I had to restart the device to get it to display the correct time. So yeah, I'm a little disappointed with this product. The sound quality on the speaker is decent so that's the only reason why I didn't rate this 1 star.

It is great when I am baking or cooking to listen to music as I can just ask Alexa to skip or play certain music. Also, great to set reminders and alarms. My elderly father has one too and it is great for video chats. I like the fact that it also gives me notifications when my Amazon packages have been delivered.
