Help to reminder her of important dates and play her favorite music just by her talking to it, not to mention she can drop inn on me or any other family member show anytime.

Lots of devices can be run by Alexa. Have no real issues. You will need the app to work with the box during setup and adding peripheral devices

We are constantly working to improve upon our products and services from feedback like yours to provide the best customer experience. I am happy to hear that you are enjoying your device so far. One thing you can do to limit content that you do not want to see on your device's home screen is to swipe down from the top and navigate to Settings>Home Content and then toggle on or off any categories you would like or not like to see anymore. You can also go to your Display settings or Notification settings and customize those options as well. These are just a few tips you could try to hopefully improve upon your experience some. I am gifting it to my girlfriend's daughter because they have a cat. It's easier to keep track of your lovable feline on the echo than searching for your phone.
