I wanted the 8 but it was out of stock so I just got the 5. The echo show 5 works real good with the ring doorbell.

But my friend has one and it is awesome so I'm assuming mine will be pretty amazing once I set it up. I got 2 blink doorbells & 2 doorbell mounts to use with it for my front & back doors (& a camera)... Hoping to get them set up tomorrow because the weather is supposed to be nice.

Only gripe is that I literally just want it to be a clock but it’s hard to disable all the widgets and opt out of all of Amazon’s subscription and data collection stuff. Was on sale for $40, wouldn’t pay more than that.

Alarm clock, radio, light switch command, weather updates, etc. Then rebooted my router and it’s been stuck in download for three days. Tried unplugging, tried factory reset from the app, it doesn’t recognize the echo. Luckily I have the Best Buy return plan on all purchases. I like the product but I’ve read others have the same issue.

Do ensure your Wi-Fi credentials are correct via the Alexa app, your Alexa app software is up to date, and your Amazon account information is current.
